a few weeks later, the day had finally come.

it was officially one year since san and wooyoung had become boyfriends, and to celebrate, san had gone all out. of course, wooyoung didn't know that yet, but he was surely in for a treat.

the two had spent the previous night together at wooyoung's, san waking up first with a bright smile on his face. he had been with his favorite person for a whole year. it almost felt surreal to him.

he stayed quiet for a bit, letting wooyoung rest a little longer before waking him. after all, he wanted to make sure that the younger had enough energy for their day.

soon, he started pressing soft kisses to the boy's face, muttering softly to him between kisses.

"wooyoung, my love... it's time to wake up~"

"mm... sannie~"

san smiled wider (if it was even possible) before pressing a kiss to the boy's forehead and cupping his cheek.

"hi baby~ did you sleep well?"

"mhmm... slept good."

"good, i'm glad. are you ready for our date today, darling?"

"'m excited," wooyoung said with a smile.

"me too... happy one year, woo~"

"happy one year, sannie... i'm so lucky to be yours."

"i'm the lucky one... anyways, i know i've been keeping most of the day a secret from you, but i think outlining the day might be helpful, yeah? you mentioned that you were trying to do something like that with your therapist, right?"

"oh... yeah, i have been. but sannie... it's okay, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. i-i'm okay with it being a surprise. you worked hard putting this together, if it's meant to be a surprise then that's okay with me."

"love... it doesn't have to be a surprise if it's going to make you more comfortable to know what we're doing today," san said gently, recognizing quickly how wooyoung's shoulders had tensed.

"sannie, it's fine. i-i promise... i-i don't want to ruin things, you worked really hard to plan today."

san shook his head, leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss to wooyoung's lips. the boy's shoulders quickly relaxed at this, and soon after san pulled away.

"how about a compromise?" san said softly.

wooyoung tilted his head a bit, confused at what san was proposing.

"i'll tell you one thing at a time. right before we go do that thing. that way, it's still mostly a surprise, yeah? but you still get to prepare yourself a little bit."

wooyoung nodded at this, agreeing easily. this was a much better idea to him than ruining the entire date and finding out everything san had meticulously planned.

"alright... and i need you to promise me that if something feels uncomfortable or you don't want to do it, you'll tell me... okay?"

"okay..."

"i know you're worried about ruining our date, love. i can see it... don't worry about ruining anything. the only thing that i care about is that you're having a good time, and if that means that we don't do something or choose to do something else, then that's perfectly fine with me."

"you're sure?"

"absolutely. sound good?"

"okay, sounds good."

"then let's get up and start getting ready, yeah? we'll have breakfast here and then head out for the day. wear something you're comfy in."

wooyoung nodded and the two got up, san heading to take a shower while wooyoung debated on what to wear for the day. he sighed when he couldn't decide, walking to seonghwa's room and knocking lightly.
