for the first time in years, wooyoung felt relatively normal again. sure, he still needed more reassurance than most and he still struggled with his thoughts and panic attacks, but as the days went on he was becoming more comfortable with the fact that he would have to live with these obstacles, whether it be for a few years or the rest of his life. everyone could tell that his mindset was changing too.
and for the first time ever, jongho and wooyoung were planning on hanging out alone. the younger boy was a bit nervous, unsure of whether or not wooyoung would have fun. he didn't *really* know wooyoung that well after all, he only knew what yeosang and san had shared with him.
wooyoung on the other hand was ecstatic. sure, he didn't know jongho that well, but he was comfortable around the boy, which made the idea of actually getting to know him a lot easier. plus, jongho was special to both yeosang and san, so he wanted to get to see what it was that they both loved so much about him.
"i'm so glad you and jongho are finally hanging out without san or myself there," yeosang squealed, sitting on wooyoung's bed while the younger got dressed for the day.
"i'm excited... i've known him longer than i've known san and never hung out with just him, so it's well overdue."
"what were you guys planning on doing?"
"we're just going to a cafe and getting to know each other."
"that's fun!"
wooyoung smiled, putting earrings in and brushing through his hair.
"san is coming over when he gets out of work, just so you know. he might be here before i get back, i'm not sure, but he has a key anyways so don't worry if you're here or not."
"wait... you gave him a key?"
wooyoung blushed darkly, nodding as he avoided yeosang's eyes.
"he's never used it though... he told me it makes him nervous, y'know?"
"mmm, i get that. it's cute that he has a key though. shows how serious your relationship is."
wooyoung smiled small at this, shyly nodding.
"jongho's a few minutes away," yeosang mentioned, looking at his phone. "he was at the gym before and it looks like he's leaving his place now."
"ah, okay..."
it wasn't too long before wooyoung was ready, the two then heading to the living room and sitting together until jongho got upstairs and into the apartment.
"hi jjong~" yeosang said fondly, kissing his boyfriend's cheek.
"hi sangie~ hi woo," jongho greeted.
"hi jongho!"
"are you all set to head out?"
wooyoung nodded quickly, smiling brightly at jongho's words.
"i'm excited," wooyoung said softly.
"i'm glad... i am too, woo."
jongho and wooyoung soon made their way out of the apartment, heading to the car in silence. they talked quietly the entire ride to the cafe though, making things far less awkward.
"what would you like? i'll order!" jongho offered.
"oh! um... peach iced tea, please?"
"anything else?"
"just that for now... i need a little bit before i get any food."
jongho glanced at the boy worriedly, sharing his concerns with only his eyes.
