tw / anxiety attack

it was finally graduation day.

hongjoong had spent the night with seonghwa, wooyoung and yeosang, the four sleeping on the couches and floor in the living room. if felt the same as back when yeosang and wooyoung were still in high school and the two older boys would come home for a weekend.

wooyoung was curled up against yeosang's chest, the older boy letting him rest. the other two were already up and getting ready, seonghwa a bit stressed over the time and his outfit.

"yeo... are you sure it looks good?" seonghwa whined, trying not to be too loud so wooyoung could sleep some more.

"hwa, you look amazing. i promise."

seonghwa sighed and nodded, then went to do his hair and put a little makeup on. hongjoong came in next, looking to see if wooyoung was awake.

"still asleep?"

"yeah... he didn't sleep very well during finals, so i'm not surprised."

"okay... it's fine, i just... i wanted his help with something."

yeosang nodded, continuing to play with the boy's hair.

"if he's up soon, i'll send him your way."

hongjoong nodded, thanking yeosang and heading back to continue getting ready. yeosang wondered what it could be that hongjoong specifically needed wooyoung's help for, but decided not to press on it knowing the two had a special bond. instead he just kept brushing through the younger's hair, making sure he felt safe and relaxed as he slept.

it wasn't long before wooyoung woke up, the boy snuggling closer to yeosang and mumbling a bit as he began to stir. yeosang watched him carefully, then once he saw the boy's eyes fluttering open, he started to speak.

"morning, youngie~"

"g'morning~"

"did you sleep well?"

"mhmm... really well, actually."

"good, i'm glad. you don't have to go right away, but hongjoong hyung came asking for your help a little earlier. he didn't say why though."

"okay... i'll go in a couple of minutes. i want to keep cuddling for now."

yeosang smiled small and nodded, brushing through the boy's hair again as he got comfortable.

"sangie?"

"yeah?"

"is it bad that i'm still nervous about how things will be after hwa and joongie graduate?"

"absolutely not, baby... you're allowed to be nervous. this is a big thing, and even though none of us anticipate any huge changes, things are still changing. the three of us won't be going to classes all together anymore, for one thing. and when we get together on campus for lunch, hwa and joongie won't be there. it's valid that you're nervous for this change, youngie."

"it just... i don't know. i feel a little stupid for being so nervous."

"absolutely not. you're not stupid, woo. you have been through so much, yeah? you're just holding onto what's comfortable for you."

"it just feels like i'm holding them back..." wooyoung said weakly, distracting himself by playing with the hem of yeosang's sleeve.

"youngie... you're not holding anyone back. we all love you so much and want you to feel comfortable, yeah? hwa and joongie have been there through it all. they've watched you grow, get hurt, pick up all the pieces and start to heal. they're not going anywhere."
