Unexpected visiter

I woke up the next morning and got dressed, I wore my nivarna black top, black DocMartins with white laces, white shorts and a black top hat. I walked down stairs and into the kitchen. No one was there. I went to the cupboard and fridge and made my self a jam and toast sandwich. After finishing my food I rinsed my plate and went to the drawing room, no one was there either. I headed up stairs and knocked on everyone's door and looked inside, Nothing. I went to the greenhouse downstairs to see if Cordelia or misty was there, still no one. I pulled out my phone and called Kyle.

"Hello?"
"Kyle! Hey, where is everyone?"
"Ha fooled ya! Leave a message."
The beep went off and I hung up. I went up stairs and took off my top hat, I put on my pilot glasses and a thin leather jacket. I grabbed my purse and left the house, I whistled for a taxi and got in.

"Where to sugar?"
"Swamp."

I arrived at the swamp and walked down to the old abandoned shack, I guessed it was misty's. I knocked lightly and walked in, no one was there. I looked around, everything was quite neat and the smell of fresh herbs hung in the air. I went to the shelves and found two books. One was a green book with vines wrapped around it and the other was a thick plain, black book with one word.

"Telekinesis." I whispered and the book flew open, the page was covered in tidy hand writing, with what looked like spells. I looked around before putting both in my bag and leaving. I grabbed another cab back home and walked into the house. I slammed the front door and heard feet shuffle, I looked up to see everyone walk out of the drawing room.

Cordelia's POV

Last night I had seen my younger cousin giving a blow job to my butler, she was beautiful, clever and didn't need Kyle. Sure he was smart and they had been friends since I could remember but, I knew he would hold her back. This morning I had took Kyle out for a talk and the other girls had gone out shopping, when we all came back Grace was gone. I had sent the girls out for her but she was nowhere to be found.

Panic started to swell up inside me and we all sat in the drawing room thinking of where she was, Zoe and misty seemed worried like me, Queenie was thinking with Nan, and as usual Madison was smoking and not caring. Sometimes I wished she wasn't here. Kyle came from the kitchen and brought in some sandwiches, I smiled at him thankfully and Nan gasped. "Nan?" Queenie said just as we heard the front door open and close shut.

We all stood and ran to the hall to see Grace walking in with her bag, her shoes were muddy, she looked up and stopped when she saw us.

Grace's POV

Shit, Cordelia looked pissed. "Hey." I said slowly and misty and Zoe ran up to me. "Grace!" They both said and hugged me, misty pulled away first. "You smell of mud and herbs." She smiled, "you been down to the swamp?" I nodded and she giggled, "ain't it just great?!" She said cheerful and I smiled, Cordelia cleared her throat and both Zoe's and Misty's smile disappeared and they turned to look at her.

"Where have you been?" She asked
"Where have I been? What about you, I woke up to an empty house." I said and Cordelia gave me a stern look.
"Well next time phone us or leave a note before you leave." She said and I rolled my eyes and walked past her, "yeah, whatever." I said and walked up to my room. I closed and locked the door and pulled the book out my bag.

"Telek-" a knock came to the door and I hid the books. I opened the door and Kyle was there. "Oh, hey." I said and he smiled lifelessly. "Can I come in?" I moved out the way and he came in.

"About last night." He started but I stopped him.
"It's cool, I guess we just-"
"Got lost in the moment?"
"Yeah. I nodded and he smiled me
"Well at least we got that cleared up." He said and I smiled, "well I have to go but... See you later squish." He said and chuckled, I did too, I had been small and chubby when I was little, like I was squished and Kyle began to call me it.
"You remember that?" I said and laughed and he nodded, he walked to the door and smiled.
"Bye."
"Bye."
He left the room and I sighed happily, I didn't like Kyle in that way, right? I shook my head and went to my bag and pulled out the books. I slipped them both under my bottom pillow and stood up, I went to my bedroom door and went downstairs.

I went down to the greenhouse to find Cordelia watering her plants. "Hey." I said and she looked up and smiled, "hi." She said, "look about last night and before I... I am sorry." She put down the watering jug. "It's okay, I was emotional when I first came here, I know it's not great but, you will get used to it." she said and I smiled, "thanks Cordelia." I said and gave her a quick hug. She froze at first, but then hugged me back. Just then the front door bell rang and we let go, "I wander." Cordelia said and we headed upstairs.

We walked up stairs to see everyone walking to the door. The fell behind and stood behind Cordelia as she opened the door. Two police officers stood out side the door, they turned to face Cordelia.
"Are you miss Cordelia Fox?"
"Yes, I am."
"Do you run this house hold?"
"Yes, of course. Why?"
"We had a report that an incident happened her last night, maybe involving murder. Is that true?"
We all looked at each other, then at Cordelia, who looked at us worried and then at the officers.

"Yes."
