Rey's POV

I noticed her quietly from the corner of my eye.

Shreya was trying very hard to act indifferent, but I could see it—the way her eyes scanned Rania like she was revisiting a memory she hadn't decided whether to hate or miss.

And for once... she wasn't thinking about murdering me.

Progress.

I leaned back in my seat, watching her pretend she wasn't noticing anything.

This girl really thinks she's subtle.

A faint smile formed on my lips.

Her misunderstanding still stood between us like an invisible wall, but my ego and pride refused to be the first to surrender. Still... I had to admit one thing.

She looked calmer here.

Happier.

And I liked that more than I should have.

Soon, the convoy slowed down.

And then stopped in front of a large, majestic estate.

It wasn't flashy—but it had presence. The kind of place that didn't need to scream luxury because it already knew it owned the ground it stood on.

I stepped out first, adjusting my sleeves.

And immediately found her.

Shreya stood slightly away from the crowd, stretching like she was trying to escape reality itself.

Unfortunately for her... I had very good observational skills.

And unfortunately for me...

that stretch gave me a very distracting view of her waist.

I immediately looked away.

"Focus, Reyhansh," I muttered.

"This is not the time for aesthetic appreciation."

As I entered, I was greeted by an elegant older lady—Shreya's aunt.

She looked young for her age, the kind of woman who clearly belonged to a family that had collectively decided aging was optional.

At this point I had one genuine question.

What exactly do they eat?

Because everyone here looked like they had been assembled in a "high-quality genetics only" factory.

Then came the brothers.

Aayush, Abhay, and Aryan.

Aayush looked like chaos in human form.

Abhay looked like he had already mentally written ten business strategies before dinner.

Aryan looked like he was emotionally present only when food was involved.

Aayush squinted at me.

"So you're the guy?"

"Yes."

He nodded. "You don't look as dangerous as Shreya described."

I smiled slightly. "Give it time."

Aryan raised a hand. "Do I get food before emotional trauma begins?"

Abhay smacked him. "Focus."

I immediately decided one thing.

This family doesn't need enemies.
