Shreya's POV
My husband standing there in nothing but a dangerously low-hanging towel, looking like he had been personally sculpted by all the sins of mankind, was not helping my "I am in control" speech.
And he knew it.
He leaned slightly against the doorframe, completely unbothered, like he hadn't just survived a fake divorce threat five minutes ago.
"Are you sure?" he asked again, voice deliberately slow. "You don't want... a little something before breakfast?"
I didn't even look at him properly. That was the survival rule.
"No," I replied firmly, grabbing my handbag. "I want my doctor appointment and my peace of mind, thank you very much."
He placed a hand on his chest dramatically. "My manhood is hurt, wifey."
I finally glanced at him.
"That's new," I said. "Welcome to consequences."
He smirked.
Of course he did.

Fifteen minutes later
We were in the car.
Rey was driving like a man who had not just been emotionally destroyed by a fake old woman story, a fake divorce threat, and a completely imaginary scandal involving him naked in a hotel corridor.
I, on the other hand, was sitting like a victorious villain.
"Still thinking about it?" I asked sweetly.
"You mean the part where you almost gave me emotional trauma before breakfast?" he replied.
"Oh no," I said. "That was just warm-up."
He glanced at me. "I married a menace."
"You chose the menace."
"I didn't choose. I was deceived."
I gasped. "Excuse me, Mr. Singhania, I came with full disclosure. You were the one who said 'she looks peaceful'."
"That was your disguise," he muttered.

Doctor Clinic – Later
The waiting room was calm.
Too calm.
Which meant chaos was loading.
Rey was sitting beside me, arm casually resting behind my chair like he owned the oxygen in the room. I was flipping through a magazine I wasn't reading.
Then the doctor called my name.
We went in.
And that's where reality decided to interrupt our married-romantic-chaotic universe.
After a few tests, questions, awkward silence, and Rey answering things like he was in a business meeting, the doctor finally smiled.
"Congratulations," she said.
I froze.
Rey blinked. "Congratulations... on what exactly?"
The doctor looked between us.
"You're pregnant."
Silence.
Not normal silence.
The kind of silence that feels like the world forgot to breathe.
