"No we have a really serious problem." Jack said pointing to the one side of the cars. I was sitting on the ground in Mr. Harrison's arms trying to calm down. I stood up as Emily put her hand out motioning me to do it slowly. I slowly stood up looking where everyone else was. There were a pile of zombies coming towards us..but they weren't running. They were slowly limping towards us.
"Do you think we can take them?" Austin asked as he looked at us. I turned to look the other way when I heard branches cracking.
"Yeah no. I don't think so. We have more." I said pointing to the other side of us.
"Well don't just stand there! Get in the fucking car!" Cody yelled making the zombies start getting faster.
"Shit! Go! Into the car now!" I yelled as I pushed Mr. Harrison forward. We reached the car and just as I was about to get in, I heard a girly scream and of course me being me I turned around and stopped. The zombies had Tammi. Her in her fucking heels tripping. All I wanted to do was leave her but I just couldn't. My guilty conscious made me go towards her. I grabbed a gun out of the duffle bag we had in the car as I walked towards her shooting zombies in my way.
"Come on Tammi!" I said as I reached out my hand. Austin, Owen and Jack along with Alayna were helping me shoot zombies off as I helped her up. Mr. Harrison ran into the one car hopefully starting it up as everyone else went into the closest car which was the other one. She reached for my hand before I seen the bite marks she had all over her arms and on her neck. I backed away letting go of her hand.
"Why aren't you helping her up?" Alayna asked as she looked back quickly before turning to shoot more zombies.
"She's been bit." I said as I backed away from her. I aimed my gun at her. I looked at Austin who was standing beside me. He looked at Tammi and slightly nodded his head.
"Just do it. Put her out of the misery." He said as his voice cracked slightly. I gripped the gun placing my finger on the trigger.
"I have always wanted to do this the moment I met you." I mumbled to myself as I pulled the trigger the bullet flying straight through her head. I took a deep breath as I let the gun drop to my side. I heard more groaning so I looked up. "Yeah we need to go." I said grabbing Austin's collar as everyone turned around at me as they seen more zombies walking towards us.
"Why aren't we taking them?" Owen asked as we rushed into the cars locking the door as fast as we could.
"We can not take them since we won't have enough amo for it." Alayna said as she looked at Owen and then at the windows as the car wouldn't start. Mr. Harrison kept turning the keys trying to get it to start. I sat in the front seat looking at him and then the windows where the zombies were banging.
"Why is the car not started?" I asked as I began to panic a bit. Mr. Harrison placed his hands on the wheel.
"I don't know it just won't start." He said looking at me. I groaned moving closer to him.
"Why would you not try and start it before hand while we were out there?" I said pointing outside the car. He slammed his fists on the dashboard angry.
"Don't you think I tried?!" He said angrily as I clenched my jaw looking at him.
"Move." I demanded as I just ignored his stare. He did as he was told so I could try and hot wire the car.
"Hurry up Brooklyn!" Austin said as he was getting impatient in the back.
"Calm your shit! I'm working on it!" I said as I looked up quickly and then back down at the wires I was working with. I finally got the car started as I put the car in drive and hitting the gas hitting a bunch of zombies in my path.

We drove in silence for a few minutes before we started up a conversation.
"Austin, you don't seem very upset about Tammi." Jack said looking at Austin who sat in silence. Austin sighed.
"I am upset but I mean that's her fault. Using Brooklyn's saying when horror films are on you should never run in heels." Austin said patting me on the shoulder as I smiled at him in the mirror. I continued to drive until we seen the other car that had Emily, Nick, Auntie CJ, King, Cody and Shawn in it was pulled over. I pulled over behind them very close so that there was barely any room in between them. We all got out of the car meeting up with everyone else. I instantly hugged Emily who gripped my shirt tightly before Auntie CJ smacked me in the head.
"Ow what the fuck was that for?" I said as I rubbed my head before she hit me again for swearing. Mr. Harrison stood beside me as he placed his hand on mine which was rubbing the place I got smacked.
"You are really brave but really stupid. Can you not control her?" Auntie CJ said looking at Mr. Harrison who just smirked down at me.
"I told you, your stupid." He said as I just smiled hugging him tight.
"What do we do now? We wasted time fighting off those things and Brooklyn fighting Tammi." Nick asked looking at everyone. We all exchanged looks turning to look at one another.
"Well we should figure out a plan for the night I guess." Emily said as she stood close to Alayna. Auntie CJ looked around at everyone. She turned to look at the sun and out at the road. She turned to see a sign that said a town was a few km away.
"How about we drive for at least another 260km to another town where we can find a place to stay?" Auntie CJ suggested. No one was willing to come up with a better plan or even try to argue with it so we all piled in the cars again driving until we were stopping. Mr. Harrison drove as I sat in the front seat with my back against the window and my feet on the seat. Alayna, Austin, King, Shawn and Cody were sitting in the back seats just talking about whatever crossed their minds. Emily, Auntie CJ, Nick, Owen and Jack were in the other car doing who knows what. Mr. Harrison and I sat in silence listening to the conversation circling around the car. Mr. Harrison eventually joined into the conversation eventually as I sat in silence looking out the window thinking about this entire situation. I felt a hand placed on my leg snapping me out of my thoughts.
"You okay?" Mr. Harrison asked me as I nodded my head.
"Yeah fine just tired." I said totally lying to him which made guilt wash over me. I pushed that feeling to the side as I watched the car ahead of us slow down and start to turn. We followed it reached some sort of camp site that had cabins all around. We pulled up to the one cabin that didn't look destroyed. Auntie CJ got out of the car ahead of us motioning us to get out which we did. We walked out of the car meeting up with them.
"Okay let's go check the cabin out for zombies just in case." Auntie CJ said as everyone grabbed a weapon slowly walking forwards in groups of two. I was paired up with Emily as we were the first ones in.
"It's clear." I said as I walked out of the one room. Alayna and Owen came walking down the stairs.
"Clear upstairs too." Alayna said smiling as we all met up in the living room.
"Great then we are good. Let's block off all the windows and doors for the night." Mr. Harrison said as everyone nodded their heads grabbing some furniture that was heavy to block the entry ways. Once we got it all blocked off we decided to try and make a fire in the fire place. We also decided it was time to eat some more food. I wasn't into being around a fire so I said good night to everyone before I walked upstairs picking a bedroom for Shawn, King, Mr. Harrison and I to sleep in. King and Shawn followed me as I got him all set up for bed. King curled up to him making him smile.
"I love you Brooklyn." Shawn said smiling as he hugged me close. I had tears swelling up in my eyes as I smiled hugging him back.
"I love you too Shawn." I said as I released our hug. King barked once making me giggle. "I love you too King." I said petting King on the head. I turned the light off in the room as I turned the lamp on. I seen that there was a door to a deck of some sort. So I grabbed my gun gripping it before I walked out to the deck. I sat down on the bench that was outside sighing just enjoying the stars and the moon above. I heard footsteps behind me as I grabbed my gun placing it in the air. "Who's there?" I said as the person revealed themselves. Mr. Harrison came walking out of the door with his hands in the air.
"Don't worry it's just me." He said placing his hands on the gun pushing it down so it was lying in my lap. "What's going on with you? You have something on your mind." He said as he wrapped his arm around me placing it on my hip. I sighed.
"I'm thinking that this isn't a good thing anymore. I mean like I love this but everything is going so wrong that this might not be a good thing." I said feeling my heart break as I looked away from him not wanting to see his reaction. After a few minutes of him not responding I turned to look at him.
"What are you saying?" He said pulling his arm out from behind me.
"I think this needs to end."
