Five Days Later
Things have been a bit quiet lately. A little bit.
Luka and Shante plan to start school at Mystic High. They even started dating each other. And speaking of dating, Tyler and Caroline kinda started dating too, but they're taking it a bit slow. After all, a werewolf and vampire dating? That's got to be the biggest taboo if Tobias ever heard one. But it ain't his business. And he knows that.
While he still likes Caroline, he doesn't like Damon. Even outright refused to help him find Klaus and Stefan. And despite the eldest Salvatore's threats about committing violence, the old lycan reminded Damon that he's still on the bottom of the food chain compared to him.
He and Elena have been looking for Stefan, despite the others advising against it.
Maeve and Jonas are working at the hospital and have been seeing each other. Though they're taking it slowly due to recent events.
And Kaeden, he's been talking with his dad and both have come to agreement that it wasn't Kaeden's fault, even though his mind (logically) it isn't, his heart says otherwise.
The Chadwicks and Malrauxs returned to Texas. With the hopes Kaeden will come see them real soon.
Speaking of him, he and his dad, they did some father-son bonding. They did some training, hung out together at home, ran into the woods in lycan form.
It was nice to reconnect with his father. But it still doesn't feel the same without his mom. And Tobias knew that. He'd been married to that woman for a long time.
But Kaeden tries to go about his days normally as possible. But he decided he wanted some space.
So he left to be in his cabin alone. Letting his dad know that he needs some alone time. And made sure his friends knew that.
But as perusal, there was one that didn't listen. And to be honest, Kaeden wouldn't care. Because despite wanting some alone time, to himself, deep down, he needed something.
Or someone.
It was dark out and Kaeden had started a fire fifteen minutes ago. He was watching the fire burn, letting his thoughts drift, until it was interrupted by the sound of a car arriving at his location. He would've been pissed had he not sniffed out who it was.
He knows that scent all too well.
It was Bonnie Bennett.
And she brought Vodka with her. Figured they should drink. And before Bonnie could knock, Kaeden already opened the door. And eyes the bottle. "Figured you could use a drink."
