There's a delicious ache between my legs as I sit at my desk.
I try to ignore it, but every movement gives me flashbacks to last night.
The guys wanted me to stay home today, to pamper me but I refused.
I need to sort out Charles.
Hannah comes into our office with a sheepish look on her face.
I stare at her icily, my eyes drifting to the two takeout coffee cups in her hands.
"Carlie," her voice is broken as she stares at me with pain in her voice, "I'm so sorry."
I nod my head and she sits down in her chair opposite me, passing me one of the coffees.
"My mind was fucked before I set foot in the office and I took it out on you. I just... fuck," she runs a hand through her hair and tears start to fall. I thaw at the sight of her crying and stand up, rushing around to hug her.
She holds onto me tightly as her body begins to shake with sobs.
"Hannah... what happened?" I ask her in a whisper as she cries into my arms.
"Fuck... I'm sorry," she wipes her nose as she pulls away from me.
"Tell me what it is. We can sort it," I smile softly at her as I perch on her desk next to her chair.
She stays silent for a few moments, thinking deeply about something before sighing and looking up at me with tears in her eyes.
"Charles must have gotten my address from HR at his firm. He was outside my door when I left. He pinned me against the wall and threatened me against you," my face falls as she speaks and I grab her hand to comfort her shaking voice, "He shoved his hand up my skirt and tore my panties. He left bruises on my thighs as he assaulted me."
Tears well in my eyes but the anger gives way.
"We need to get rid of this man," I say, my voice giving no room for argument. She nods her head and swallows.
"But first, we need to take care of you. Do you need to go to hospital? Do you want to contact the police? You didn't need to come into work after that, you know?" I keep my tone soft as I ask her the questions.
"No, No and No. I'm fine and I wanted to be anywhere but my apartment," she answers, drying her cheeks with her hand.
I nod my head and move back to my desk.
As I sit down, my mind whirls with ideas on how to take down Charles.
"I can see you scheming, Carlie. What are you planning?" she asks me, her voice and face returning back to the confident Hannah I know and love.
"Just a way to ruin Charles' business, reputation and his liberty," I smile at her deviously.
"Shall I call a staff meeting?" she asks as she logs in to her computer.
