My desk reverberates as I slam my phone down.
Stupid fucking alcohol suppliers.
I stand up from my chair and it rolls back with such forces I'm almost worried it'll break the window.
Pacing the floor, I curse under my breath and shove my hands in my pockets.
I know why I'm so riled up.
I just don't want to deal with it right now.
The whole floor has pretty much evaded my presence today, not wanting to be caught in the wrath of my bad mood.
I don't blame them, either as I'd probably chew out anyone who stepped foot into my office right now.
Speaking of which.
"Elaine said you were hulking out in here," Zach grins as he pushes my door open and slides in. I watch him loathingly as he makes himself comfortable in one of the chairs opposite my desk.
"Shouldn't my assistant keep my business private?" I bite back, heading to take my seat at my desk.
"Chill out, Bruce Banner," Zach rolls his eyes as he scrolls on his phone.
We sit in a brooding silence. I contemplate throwing my laptop at him but it seems too expensive to use as a physical weapon against my asshole little brother.
The door opens again and I groan when I see Cal stalking inside. He takes the seat next to Zach and folds his arms as he glares angrily at the window.
"Okay, Hulk and Abomination," Zach clears his throat and puts his phone away before continuing, "I've been told you two are on a rampage today and there is clearly a common denominator to your anger issues."
I scowl at him and Cal lets out a scoff.
"I'm fine, Zachary," I grunt.
"Sure you are. That's why I've been getting angry calls from all our suppliers and have been putting out the fires you set all morning," Zach bites back.
Okay.
So he has a point.
"And you," he turns to point at Cal, "I've had to stop three employees from quitting today and give them bonuses because you threatened to remove their fingernails for touching your stuff."
"They should know better," Cal shrugs in response.
"They're the fucking cleaning crew, Cal. They're meant to touch your stuff to clean it," Zach runs a hand over his face in despair.
I close my eyes and tilt my head back, taking calming breaths to lower my blood pressure.
"Okay fine, you're right," I relent, opening my eyes and staring at them both, "What do we do?"
