Amy's pov
"That's Bullshit!" Tails yelled as he threw the contents of a near by table onto the floor, papers flying and glass shattering on the floor.
"Tails calm down!" Sonic said grabbing him by the shoulder.
I knew this was going to upset Tails but I wasn't expecting this!
"No I'm not going to fucking calm down! He's saying that Cosmo died so some guy could scare off some competition!" Tails screeched in a rage.
"But Tails don't you understand if Shadow is right then we may have a chance to catch Cosmo's murderer!" I shouted standing in front of Tails, praying that I'd make him see sense.
Tails resistance gradually stopped and Sonic was able to lower his hand. He slightly turned the other way looking at the floor.
"When's the order being lifted?" Tails asked his voice stone cold.
"Tonight. At midnight." Shadow said.
"What do we need to do to help?" Sonic asked.
Your pov
Funny how entertaining the ceiling can become when you have nothing to think about isn't it? Giving a frustrated sigh you kicked your legs off the side of the sofa and sat up from lying down before strolling towards your sitting room window. Cosmo's funeral had been harder for you than expected, unfortunately you weren't able to spot that Kitsune at the reception but plenty of people spotted you. All giving there apologies as they knew how close you and Cosmo had been.
After the reception you had simply come home and changed into your (F/O) before dedicating the rest of the day to doing nothing. Although one thought kept popping into your head, tomorrow was your birthday. You were going to 17, big whoop (!) There was no one for you to celebrate it with, you had no parents and now you had no friend. Your mind drifted as your eyes drifted into the sight out of your window, but you gave a violent shake of your head to stop all this self pity. They were the ones who were dead not you, so you might as well try and live for them all.
You then tried to concentrate on the view out your window. You lived in a fairly modern one bedroom flat on your own on the fourth floor, but when you'd moved here you'd made sure that none of the windows had window ledges and that there was no balcony. Just like the sister had suggested. Your thoughts then drifted back to the orphanage and that night you were almost taken and the good vampire who had saved you and left you the cross. In fact you had that very cross around your neck right now still engraved with the same words. 'Be Safe'.
After that night there were no attacks, no vampire dared touch you unless it was one of the friendly staff at the orphanage. Surprisingly you hadn't developed a fear for vampires but had excepted the fact that no matter what species you were going to have the good and the bad. The bad ones killed you parents, tried to take you away in the dead of night and killed Cosmo. But then the good ones watched over you and all the other children of the orphanage at night, and saved you from the bad vampires. And if it weren't for the good vampires then no one would ever have found Cosmo. A good vampire found her bleeding in the street and took her to the hospital but despite the unmatched speed that a vampire has he was too late, but they still tried.
You snapped out of your thoughts when you suddenly wondered what the time was. Looking at your clock it read 23:30 pm. Wow, only thirty minuets left until you turn 17. Thinking about it you might as well stay up until midnight and see what happens.
23:30pm
You sit back down on the sofa having nothing better to do.
