Your POV

It's night again.

There was the same full moon, the same star filled night sky and the same forest area with a lake.

Your vision shifted again and you saw that same brown (A/T) stood in the water. Your mother.

She delicately ran her finger tips through the water, humming as she did so. You recognised that tune, it was a lullaby. More importantly a lullaby that she used to sing to you. It was a sweet mellow tune, you'd forgotten that tune. Only now just remembering it.

Once again she began to turn her head towards you, still humming, and this time you saw her. Her face was so ...young.

She seemed to look through you as she looked behind her, with great curiosity. But what was she looking at?

Waking up you were extremely dazed at first. Why were you on a train? Why was it so dark? And then you remembered. You were on a train headed to a safe house, away from all of vampire kind that was trying to hunt you down.

But it was no longer pitch black outside, clearly you'd left the tunnel with the now white landscape rushing by. Undoubtedly wherever you were headed was a snowy area. Shifting around a little you realised that you had a jacket draped over you. And a blush crept onto your muzzle as you realised it was Shadow's jacket. Why has he bothered to do that? Probably because you being a mortal he thought you weak and that you might get a cold or something.

But then again he could have just have been being nice. It was hard to tell with him.

Glancing around the carriage you saw Shadow was once again stood just outside the door on the phone.

Sitting up properly you waited for him to come back in pulling the jacket off, but as you did you got a waft of a really strong scent. It was a mixture of sweet and metallic.

He has such a nice scent.

Blushing again you shook away the thought and looked at your watch, you'd only been asleep for two hours.

Great, so there's still 8 hours left to this fun time ride (!)

You gave a small sigh to yourself just as Shadow came back in.

"Who was on the phone?" you asked straight away.

Desperate not to mention the fact you'd dozed off. But as you spoke your voice caught in your throat and sounded raspy. Your throat suddenly felt like sandpaper.

"Thirsty?" he asked.

You gave a nod.

"There's a vending machine at the trailer." he said pointing right.

Giving another nod you walked out of the carriage and in the direction Shadow had pointed you to. But as you tried to keep your balance, still a little dozed, you thought to yourself how casual that brief conversation was.

It was now almost becoming easy to talk to him.

Easily enough you found a vending machine with kick marks on the bottom from where mobians had kicked it when their items had gotten stuck. Scanning the drinks on offer you punched in the numbers for a simple bottle of water.

With a large clatter it dropped from the shelf and you picked it up, and you would have headed back to the carriage. Had Scourge not been standing there.

Before you could try make a dash for it at the sight of him blocking your way back to the carriage he moved with such speed, pinning you to the wall an iron grip on both your wrists with one hand.
