Your pov

"Come on (Y/N)! We're going to the park!"

"That's right (Y/N)! Stretch your arms out, see your flying!"

"Time to go to sleep baby."

"Love you (Y/N)."

"Hello little girl.... your blood smells awfully nice."

With that you eyes snapped open your heart beating fast remembering what had happened a month ago, the blood covered memories becoming mixed with the long ago gone pleasant ones. You started to cry silently as you buried your head in the blanket which acted as a tissue. You wanted the sister, you wanted her to comfort you like she had been for the last few weeks. Throwing off the covers you swung your legs over the edge of the bed and kicked your feet about until they came into contact with the creaky wooden floor.

Being careful to avoid the creaky planks you tip toed to the door and reached up to the door knob and struggled for a couple of seconds trying to turn it with both hands. After a bit of struggle the door swung open and you left the room not forgetting to close the door behind you. Sister told you to always to keep the door and blinds shut at night, but she never locked the doors of the bedrooms in case of fire. You lightly tread down the corridor, your night gown a little too long for you so your toes kept getting caught, and your cross remained on your wrist giving a pretty 'ting!' with every step you made.

The sister had told you that this cross made that noise on purpose so that most vampires would know that you were wearing a cross. But then your attention was caught by a window, but the blind wasn't  shut. 'The sister must have accidently missed it' you thought. As the sister had done so much for you you thought about doing something for her and close the blind. You went up to the window and stretched up on your tip toes trying to reach the string that made the blind come down. Repeatedly you jumped up and down trying to reach the rope but every time only your fingers scarped the bottom of the rope. You kept trying until...

'Klink'

You gasped as you saw that your cross had fallen from your wrist onto the floor, but before you could pick it up you were only just able to see it slip into a crack between two of the planks.

"Ah! No!" you said starting to panic.

You instantly kneeled to the floor trying to fit your tiny fingers in the thick gap but all you got was splinters. As you continued to hurt your small hands you gave small whimpers trying to reclaim your precious necklace. But you swiftly went rigid as you saw a shadow cast over you from behind. Remaining still you grew hot with fear, that same feeling at the pit of your stomach as when your parents were killed. Your breath hitched as the shadow slowly got bigger, meaning it was getting closer. You felt the figure standing straight behind you bending over to see what you were doing.

"What's the matter sweet heart did you loose something?" a female voice said.

Giving a gasp at the voice you turned around falling on your butt looking up at the female. She was a brown fox wearing a low cut black top, trousers, boots and chunky metal belt, also there was a small orange bow tied in her hair. Her Tail swished behind her as she looked down at you a sly smile on her face.

"Oppsie! You fell over you silly thing." she said giggling.

But then your eyes grew wide in horror as you stared at her mouth, clear as the moon in the night sky two sharp fangs at the edge of her jaw stuck out, sharp and deadly.

You didn't waste a second you ran down the corridor as fast as your little legs would carry you but a big white male wolf stood in the corridor blocking your way you made a left and ran down the stairs as that was the only place you could go. You heard the two following you slowly as you kept tripping on the steps. You had gone down the back steps so you had ended up in the kitchen, but then you saw the shadow of what looked like a big dog approach the door way so you jumped in the small storage room filled with teabags and spices.

You crawled into the corner, legs held to your chest, head buried in your knees. Listening to both your heartbeat and the three pairs of feet walking around the kitchen you began to cry again wishing for the sister to wake up a scoop you up into her arms.

"Why you hiding little dolly?"

You gave a small shriek standing up as you heard the man's voice behind you. Looking at the black space you heard a menacing chuckle that made your heart skip a beat out of fear. You backed away until you back lightly tapped the closed door.

"What's the matter? Come on I just want to play a game." the voice said.

A green hedgehog wearing red and black glasses on the top of his head, a black torn leather jacket and chunky green trainers came out into your view. All you could do was remain glued to the door hoping that you would some how pass right though the wood and away from him.

"Ha ha! Your shaking like a wimpy Chao!" he said laughing pointing at you.

He then tried to grab you but you gave a shrill scream before ducking under his hand and trying to crawl under one of the stacked shelves, but he quickly grabbed you by your hair lifting you up clean off your feet.

"Owww!"

"Time for you to go to sleep." he said with an evil grin.

The man then used his free hand and placed on your forehead, and all of a sudden your body became stiff and all your fear left and was replaced with... nothing. You couldn't move and your couldn't even move your eyes although they remained open. You were completely frozen.

Scrourge's pov

The girl went limp and I held her properly using both arms. Man I loved my powers. As a vampire I was one of the lucky ones to have an additional 'talent' or power. I had the ability to control emotions so I was able to make this girls mind go into some sort of 'sleep mode', she couldn't do anything apart from blink. At the moment she was nothing more than a breathing doll.

The door opened and Fiona stood there leaning on the door frame.

"Good job on the nightmare." I said walking out of the cupboard with the girl.

"I aim to please." Fiona said giving a smirk.

Fiona was also a vampire with the ability to create nightmares, so it was the perfect plan to lure 'dolly' here out of her room.

"So what are we gonna do with her? She won't sell for much, the tiny things barely got any blood in her." Sleuth asked.

He was a muscly brown dog dressed in his dusty blue trousers and shirt.

"You prick we ain't gonna sell her!" Drago yelled whacking Sleuth on the back of the head.

Drago was a large white wolf who wore a navy blue outfit with torn sleeves.

(Sleuth and Drago are actually Archie Comic characters)

"Keep it down would ya!" Fiona said placing a finger to her lips.

"Of course we're not gonna sell her! There's something with this kid and we need to find out what it is. When her parents were killed by some other vampire the Hunter Society went nuts when deciding what would happen to her, so she ended up here where all the kiddies have to wear silver crosses." I explained to those idiots.

Usually to earn a pretty penny me and the others would nick some random kid and sell them to someone. But this time we actually had a target. There was something special about this kid and by the sounds of it it was something that could help out others.

"Well what ever this kids got to offer us we better get her out of here before someone finds us here." Fiona said.

I gave a nod and with that we left the orphanage.
