Third persons POV

There was a drizzle of rain as the sun remained trapped behind the clouds, whether which reflected the solemn setting of a graveyard. A single Sister a grey fox, clad in her holy ash coloured uniform and white hood walked down the dusty path, her one hand occupied with a small bunch of peonies and the other a pink, child seedrians hand. Taking various turns they both reached a relatively new looking tombstone.

Laying the bunch of flowers next to the stone the sisters eyes glanced across the gold engraved words.

'Cosmo the Seedrian, beloved friend and greatly missed'

'1996-2015'

"I wish I could have met her." the child said sadly reading the tombstone of the only other child in the orphanage was the same species as her.

Smiling at the innocent child the sister was grateful that she could share the memories of the child she had cared for as though she was her own. Before she was taken away from the living so harshly.

"As do I, she was a gentle soul. But I'm glad I can tell you all about her, now are you ready to work your magic?"

Nodding the young seedrian primed her hands sprinkling some form of glittered powder over the bunch of flowers, as she did every time the sister brought flowers to the grave. It was the Sister Claire's routine for the past two year since Cosmo had been taken from her, to come whenever the seasons changed and lay down a different bunch of flowers.

Only in the past year had she started bringing the seedrian child with her to bless the flowers, helping them last longer. The child had become fascinated to hear there had been another of her species once at the orphanage. But this routine was known to another as a hidden figure stood a distance hidden from the sister and the child.

After saying a silent prayer the sister took the child's hand and left the graveyard, the figure stepping out from their cover holding a single rose. Taking her place next to the tombstone (Y/N) laid down the rose next to the blessed bunch of flowers, for another countless time reading the somber text.

She sighed heavily, talking to no one.

"Everyone two years ago thought it all started when I turned 17, but you and I both know that's not true. You started all this Cosmo. I'm just glad, so glad I could help bring you peace. But Tails did all the work. But then again knowing you you were probably looking down yelling at me not to go to the effort and trouble myself." she smiled to herself with a breathy chuckle "You always took on all the hard work even when we were kids. Not many people knew that you were older than me, I was five and terrified and your seven year old self came up to me never leaving my side."

Giving a large sniff (Y/N) clamped a hand to her eyes trying to hide the tears brimming over her eyes.

"I'm so, so sorry. You'd still be here if it wasn't for me. God I miss you so much..."

Hearing steps behind her (Y/N) gave one last sniff putting an end to her tears focusing her gaze on the ground, knowing fully well who stood to her side.

"Hey."

"Hey Tails."

"You haven't even looked at me and you know its me." he tried to chuckle.

"Well its not hard, you reek of machine oil." she tried to return the attempt of lightened mood.

"A vampires senses can be useful every now and again."
