Bunny's pov

Man them sick bastards! They just wasted as much time as they could to stop our chances of keepin the order. And unfortunately they'd got what they wanted.

They'd used the lame excuse that the order never included females, so as far as the court was aware that made our argument just a piece of dirt. So now we had a battle an a half on our hands.

"So what now Sal?" I asked as we left the court room.

"We need to take precautions and then we'll look into a safe house." Sal said.

"Alright Hun."

We left the hall but as soon as we stepped into the corridor we were met with Shadow leaning against a wall, arms crossed.

"Well?" he asked.

Shadow wouldn't have been able to hear what was going on in the court room as they were sound proof to stop vampires from listening in.

Sal took a breath before answering.

"They didn't except our argument, the orders been lifted."

A split second later there was a huge dent in the wall the size of Shadow's fist, we both jumped at the sudden bang and action.

"Great more work for me." he mumbled as he withdrew his fist.

He then walked off. Still keepin the tough boy act up.

Your POV

It was now early morning and you had gotten up at 6am just after dawn, but you still didn't know whether or not the order had been maintained. Desperately you tried to stay positive, trying to convince yourself that you'd be able to carry on living your life. That by some miracle the order would be maintained.

But what if the order is lifted? Will I be left alone to defend myself? I could barely defend myself from that green hedgehog...

At the current moment though you were back in the library with Amy, and you'd been introduced to a blue hedgehog named Sonic and the Kitsune you had seen at Cosmo's funeral who was called Tails.

But you didn't dare ask him what his possible connection to Cosmo was, thinking that the large dark marks under his eyes and his tired posture suggested that her murder had hurt him greatly.

And at the moment the three of them were trying to keep your spirits high.

"I'm sure Bunny and Sally were able to convince the court, just you wait and see (Y/N)." Amy tried to reassure you.

"Yeah no one can win an argument against those two, but I kinda wish they'd get here faster so they can let us know the verdict." Sonic said tapping his foot impatiently.

"Well they have to go through all the customs." Tails said a little dully.

No one would say out loud though that Sally and Bunny taking their time to get here most meant they hadn't been able to convince the court. As mainly Amy and Sonic lightly chatted to avoid an awkward silence you felt your thoughts drifting.

Shadow....

The name certainly suited him you thought, with black often being associated with shadows, and he certainly moved around as silently as one. Proven by how he was behind you so suddenly last night in that large green house.

And like you had expected he was the quiet type, obviously seeing the way he protected you as nothing more than orders. But like you had told him last night, you were still grateful.
