Your POV

Werewolves transform at the night of a full moon....

The Seer is known for its power to predict the future...

A Succubus's seduce men with their music...

Mermaids have been known to be both gentle and violent...

Sighing to yourself you stopped skim reading the pages only looking at the extravagant ink illustrations in the book you were reading, that was so old and battered the pages were like tissue paper.

It had been just under a month since you had arrived at the safe house and the dull task of research had started once again. It was mainly you and Cream that did the research though, Amy wasn't about much sending messages too and from the Hunter Society and getting new info. And Shadow tended to keep to himself, although you always saw him at least once a day.

Some times he'd be dusted with snow having just gone to the village to feed. And if you had a conversation was a different matter, and if you did it would always concern whether or not you and Cream were any closer to finding a solution. Which you were trying to find sat in one of the sitting rooms reading a book on mythical creatures from the library.

A click of the door made you look up though as Cream prettily stepped in.

"Have you had any luck?" she asked sweetly taking a seat next to you.

You had to admit that having Cream for company certainly lightened up the place keeping it at least a little cheery.

"No, but I've got more books if you want to help." you said gesturing to the small pile on the coffee table in front of you.

"Of course." she smiled.

Grabbing a book she too started to read away.

"Which book are you reading?" she asked.

"Um the earliest edition of how to identify supernatural creatures. So far I haven't come across any creatures that look like regular mobians, are immortal and have increased healing abilities." you said showing her the front cover.

"OK, then I'll look for those things too." she nodded.

"Did you just talk to Amy right now?" you wondered.

"Yes."

"Any news?"

"Only that they haven't found any traces of Scourge or Fiona, it's as if they've completely disappeared into thin air." she said in a sad tone.

Over the month you had been here both research and the Society's attempts to find Scourge, Fiona and his informant had failed. So here you were, reading books and waiting for any news.

"But don't worry they'll find him sure enough, and I bet one of my mothers famous strawberry short cakes that we'll find something useful in these books." Cream said optimistically.

"Okay you're on." you chuckled lightly.

As the pair of you carried on reading with notebooks and pens at your sides in case you found anything worth noting you on instinct, despite not knowing its origins anymore, held your cross.

"You always hold your cross when your reading, it must be really special to you." she smiled.

But you hesitated in giving a reply.

"it was special, but now I'm not so sure anymore..."
