Chapter 29: Leo's POV

THAT EVENING AT THE LAIR

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!" Casey screamed as he and April entered the lair.

"Merry Christmas." Raph, Mikey, and I said while Donnie made a silent wave, I frowned when I saw it. He still didn't want to tell me what happened between him and Mikey. They aren't fighting as he's been by Mikey's side for most of the day, but something definitely is bothering him. I just wished he'd tell me.

"You okay Leo?" Raph asked as he sat down beside me and I shook my head.

"I'm worried about Donnie." I said and he sighed, nodding his head.

"I get what you mean. He's been under Mike basically all day, something really bad must have happened." I nodded sadly before blushing red as Raph took my hand. "All we can do is wait for Donnie to tell us what's going on, you know he always does. Don't stress yourself too much about this, Princess."

"Okay, thanks Raphie." I gave him a smile and he smiled back, my cheeks becoming redder as he tightened his grip on my hand.

"Leo, can we-" "Leonardo!" My eye's widened happily, I know that voice.

I turned around and a huge smile came on my face, I can't believe it! SHE CAME! "Karai!" I yelled and practically ran over to hug her tightly. "I can't believe you came!" She hugged me back.

"Of course I came! It's Christmas, I want to spend it with my family. All of my family. Speaking of which, I got him here." I gasped as she whispered that last part into my ear, Shredder's here.

Yeah, I know about Shredder being in love with Splinter. Honestly when Father told me about in fall with a man, I thought about who that could be. So imagine my surprise when Karai called me freaking out after seeing Shredder crying over a picture of our father. Once I found out about that, there was no other possibility. Shredder, Oroku Saki, was the man that Master Splinter was and is still in love with.

"You got him here?" I whispered and she nodded, that's when I noticed that Xever, Rahzar, Bebop, and Rocksteady standing behind her in the distance. "You brought them too?"

"Where do you think Shredder is hiding?" She remarked as we separated, Tigerclaw walked up to us.

"I think you should tell your friends what's going on before we all walk in." He said and I nodded, Karai offering to help me with explaining everything. Hopefully, they won't freak out.

FIVE MINUTES LATER

They freaked out, they freaked out bad. Raph already didn't like the fact that Karai was here, but knowing that everyone we ever fought against for lives was at our home made him charge at her.

Rahzar made a comment about Donnie which set Mikey off, so they started fighting. Bebop and Casey somehow ended up fighting, don't ask me I don't know.

But it only got worse because the mutanimals showed up. Mondo saw Mikey and Rahzar fighting and decided to join in. Leatherhead and Rocksteady started fighting and then Slash and Xever. Then Rockwell and Tigerclaw started arguing over whose idiots were more of idiots.

"Raph! Karai! Cut it out!" I screamed and everyone froze as a loud sound echoed through the lair.

The sound of Master Splinter's cane being slammed against the floor. "What is going on in here?!" He yelled and he turned to me before noticing Karai. "Is that...Miwa?" Karai put her sword away and smiled awkwardly.

"Hello, father." She stated and he walked up to her.

"Miwa, how are you..." He stopped as he saw Shredder in the corner of his eye. "Saki?" I saw Shredder tense up.

"Y-Yoshi." He said and I'm sure everyone was surprised to hear him of people stutter, I know I was. Master Splinter walked over to him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked him and Shredder took a deep breath before holding out a bouquet of lilies. Those are Master Splinter's favorite flowers, that's so romantic.

"T-they're-they're for you."  I really can't believe I'm watching Shredder stutter.

"Saki..." Master Splinter gently took the bouquet with shaky hands, a smile made a way onto his face. "They're beautiful." Even those I couldn't see it because of Shredder helmet, I knew there was a small smile on his face because his body relaxed. "I don't understand." Shredder tensed up again.

"I-I...I wanted to...um..." I heard Shredder sigh, muttering something under his breath. "I wanted to apologize. I should have never interfered in your life. I should have never ruined your life."

"You didn't ruin my life."

"Yes, I did. You were happy with Teng Shen, with your daughter and I tried to come in between you two. It was wrong of me to destroy your happiness. If I had truly loved you, I should have let you go." Father's eyes widened, I'm sure from shock.

"What?" Shredder took off his helmet and locked his eyes with Master Splinter's.

"Hamato Yoshi, I've been in love with you ever since we were children." He admitted, Master Splinter said nothing as Shredder continued. "I know that my actions show no meaning to those words, all I can do is explain myself. I love you Yoshi, I've loved you for these years. There were so many times where I wanted to tell you my true feelings, even before the incident. I...I had asked your father for his blessing."

"My father?" Shredder nodded.

"Yes and it is my biggest regret. Your father made me feel like I was going crazy. That my feelings for you were nothing more than misplaced confusion, that I wanted Teng Shen and not you. But it was you. It was always you. I will say it again, I am in love with you Yoshi and I always will be. You don't have to accept my feelings or even forgive me for all that I've done, but know that I...." Shredder froze as Master Splinter hugged him around his neck, he was tearing up a little.

"I have waited so long to hear you say those words." He cried softly. "It was the same." Shredder's eyes widened and he looked at my father's face, finding him smiling at him with the warmest smile I have ever seen him have. "I felt the same way, Saki. I still feel the same way."

"Really?" Shredder's eyes widened asked and Splinter chuckled, nodding his head. A smile broke onto Shredder's face and Master Splinter's eyes widened as he kissed him.

He broke the kiss. "Saki, you..." Shredder smirked, wrapping his arms around Sensei's waist.

"I have waited over twenty years to kiss you, you being a giant rat is not going to stop me." He declared, kissing Master Splinter again for emphasis. This time, Master Splinter kissed him back.

"As happy as I am for them, watching your parents kiss is gross." Karai remarked and I nudged her. "What, I said I was happy for them." I just shake my head, smiling at them. I'm glad Master Splinter gets his happy ending. I glanced over at Raph (his expression clearly unhappy about the fact he was watching his father kissing Shredder), I hope I can get a happy ending too.
