Why do you hate me?

Hi everyone, there will be another chapter after this.

I promise.

BUT

I do want to talk about this since I never really addressed this before and I did get a few comments that reminded me that I haven't.

Obviously, for the majority of this franchise, The teenage mutant ninja turtles are brothers and you can tell that from their physical appearances in the older versions.

However in the 2012 version, the version I grew up watching and love, each of the turtles are completely different from each other. Including the height differences between all four them (even if Raph and Leo are close in height), Raph has green eyes, Donnie's are hazel with a red tint, and Mikey and Leo have blue eyes that still are a different shades from each other. Adding more to that, they are different shades of green. Leo is leaf green, Raph is jade green, Donnie's olive green, and Mikey is a light green. They also have different beaks (noses). Only slight difference yet a difference no the less.

Then this, which I think is the most important thing, Splinter never touched them. According to the the 2012 version of the show, you are mutated with whatever was the last thing you touched. If Splinter did touch them, he would be a turtle. Even if the rat gazed him, the turtle DNA would have been stronger. That, and in the show the kraang said they mutated the monkeys which became human, meaning the turtles would have been humanoid anyway despite if they were touched by Splinter.

With that being said, they don't have Splinter's DNA and I don't think they are actually brothers except for MAYBE Leo and Mikey. They grew up together as brothers yes, but blood-related brothers.

And this is only for the 2012 version, I can't say this for the others since I didn't exactly watch those unless you count YouTube GTA videos and this one fanfic where Leo and Raph almost kill each other (and don't know the name of it either because it's been about I think three or four years since I last saw it).

Even if canonically brothers, in this fanfiction Mikey and Raph are related to each other. And Donnie and Leo are related to each other.

So no one in this fanfic is dating their brother. Yes Leo does refer to Raph as his brother, but that is because of the nature of their CURRENT relationship which is frenemies/brothers that will EVENTUALLY become romantic lovers.
