MAC: FACTS AND UPDATES

2024

Well.... Just felt like I had to do this. Considering I've done this for about 7 years now???

I started out 2024 in the Australian outback, 10,000 miles from home living in a little mobile home and working as an au pair.

I did this for 4 months then escaped!! Back to Sydney, then back to New Zealand where I saw my parents for the first time in 7 months. I had such an amazing amazing time and I'd really like to live there full time.
We travelled the whole way down the north and South Island... just the best best time.

When I was away I found out that my best friend from back home had cancer and was going through chemo. I also found out my dad had cancer... so decisions got tough.

I went back to Australia and decided that I would have 2 more fun weeks, spend all my money, then go home.

So I went to Melbourne first, that was nice. Got bored so flew to Brisbane, to Byron Bay and made some friends, got wildly drunk, had some adventures, little love affairs, fun times.

Then I took the long long long flight home. I had planned every meticulously. Nobody knew... eventually after 72 hours travelling I arrived at my front door to find... literally no one. No one was home. So sat outside in the rain for 2 hours until mum arrived....

Anyway... summer arrived. I got a full time job at a music shop. With my first pay check I bought a car. Me and my mates adapted to a new way of friendship meetups. And actually, I had a really wholesome summer.
My friend finished chemo, so did my dad.

Then in mid July, the day after retiring, my mum decided to fall off a boat and drown.
So that was fun.

So the next few months we're interesting. But we got her out of an induced coma. And we got her home. Superstar.

I turned 23, I worked, I worked and I worked some more. Music shop during the day, piano teaching at night.

In November one of my best friends had a little baby girl. Which is MAD.
In December I went on my first ever date. Which, obviously, involved a lot of alcohol. It went well, it's still going welllll, however he is a bit of a drug addict and I'm also wary he might be a dealer so.... Yeah a lot of red flags there. At least he's pretty.

Aaaaanyway!!!

Happy new year. 2025.

God I hope I'll be somewhere else next year. I really really hope.
