Chapter XX

A soft "Good morning..." escaped Y/N's lips, her sleepy voice sounding adorable to Mina.

Mina responded with a gentle and bright smile, replying with a soft "Good morning."

"Why are you here..?"  Y/N asked in a groggy tone, her eyes open just enough to make out the person sitting beside her.

Mina's words were playful, a hint of offense in her tone. She responded light-heartedly, "Why? Am I not allowed to be here?"

Y/N replied simply, her words still marked by the sleepy tone, "No... Just wondering..."

Mina explained gently, "I came to give Jihyo some food, but she had to go and take care of some student council business. And while waiting for her to come back, I'm here with you."

As Y/N understood the situation, she slowly nodded to show her comprehension.

Just before her eyes slowly closed shut again, a small and soft smile formed on her lips, and she whispered in a half-awake, almost incoherent murmur,

"I like it... when you're with... me..."

And with that, her drowsiness took over, and she drifted back to sleep.

In a quiet, almost inaudible whisper, barely audible even to the two of them, Mina confessed,

"I like it too..."

As Mina observed Y/N, her reflection in the window caught her attention. A soft but wide and brilliant smile could be seen on her face, and even her eyes seemed filled with joyous twinkle.

In a whisper, she softly commented, "I look like a fool... How can I be angry with you when you're like this..."

A few moments later,

The sound of the door opening filled the room, followed by the sound of footsteps as Jihyo re-entered the student Council room.

"Sorry, I took a bit longer than expected." She apologized, approaching her desk.

However, she was confused when she was met with silence, with no response to her greeting.

That was until she spotted the two girls seated together, a smirk appearing instantaneously on her face as she took out her phone.

Jihyo swiftly took some pictures of the two girls sleeping peacefully near each other. Satisfied with her secret pictures, she silently took her seat and started eating her meal.

As she glanced at the two but especially at Mina, a sigh escaped her lips.

"I don't understand how the two are so oblivious at each other... They are just like 2yeon." Jihyo whispered to herself and shook her head in amusement and despair.

At the same time,

"Damn! That's awesome!" Jeongyeon exclaimed in awe to something the girl, in front of her, was saying.

Though she tried to focus on the girl speaking, she couldn't help but feel an intense gaze burning into her back.

Chaeyoung, always oblivious to everything, titled her head in confusion and asked to NaMoSaDaTzu about the situation, "Why are we hiding and spying on Jeongyeon-unnie??"

Tzuyu's words carried a hint of sarcasm, as she responded, "Pay attention to the conversation instead of drooling over your dear penguin."

Chaeyoung blushed at Tzuyu's comment, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. She turned to Dahyun with a plea in her eyes, silently begging for a response to her still-unanswered question.
