It was Sara's first time visiting Adrian's new company. She had planned to check in at the front desk, but as soon as she approached the entrance, someone called out to her.

"Madam."

Sara turned around. "Mr. Scott?"

Charlie Scott smiled and nodded. "I'm glad you remember me. President Blake asked me to come down and escort you."

He took the shopping bags from her hands and led her toward the elevator.

As soon as Sara entered the building, everyone in the lobby discreetly glanced at her. After all, everyone was curious about the woman who had managed to turn their famously aloof and cold CEO into someone completely unrecognizable.

The moment she stepped into the elevator, the company's internal chat group exploded.

—Company Front Desk: OMG, I just saw President Blake's wife! In person! She came to the office!
—Humble Office Worker: She looks so young... and her skin is amazing. So fair and flawless.
—Lazy Broke Employee: I thought President Blake would go for an elegant, powerful woman or a sultry beauty, but she's like a soft little bunny.
—Brick Mover (a.k.a. IT guy): I was close enough to see her clearly. She seems so gentle, and her smile is gorgeous.
—File Transfer Assistant: She has this classic beauty, very graceful.
—Message Declined by Recipient: Don't just talk about it—POST PICS! Have some compassion for those of us who didn't get to see her!

Meanwhile, completely oblivious to the gossip storm, Sara turned to Charlie Scott in the elevator. "Weren't you working at Blake Corporation?"

She was surprised to see him here.

Charlie Scott chuckled. "I've been working for President Blake since I graduated. I wouldn't be used to working under someone else."

As soon as he found out Adrian was running YD Technology, he immediately resigned from Blake Corporation and applied here. Even though Blake Corporation had better benefits, he preferred Adrian's work style and leadership.

And Adrian needed a competent assistant—someone who already understood how he operated.

When they reached the sixteenth floor, Charlie Scott stopped in front of the CEO's office. "President Blake is inside. You can go in."

"Thank you."

Sara knocked lightly.

"Come in," came Adrian's deep voice from inside.

She pushed open the door.

Adrian was focused on a stack of documents, but the moment he caught sight of her, he immediately looked up, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"You're here."

Sara glanced at his cluttered desk. "You must be exhausted. I brought you some dinner. Eat first before you keep working."

She took out the packed meal, placing it neatly on his desk. Adrian walked over and sat down.

Sara handed him the chopsticks. "You must be starving by now. Eat up."

Adrian took them but glanced at her. "Are you going to eat with me?"

She shook her head. "I had dinner with Ella already. I'll just keep you company."

"Alright."

As he ate, Sara propped her chin on her hand and watched him.

Adrian noticed and raised an eyebrow. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
