When Sara Hart received a call from Alice Miller, she was taken aback.

They hadn't returned since Adrian Blake had his fallout with his father at the family estate. With everything else that had happened, she hadn't had the chance to bring it up again.

"Hello, Aunt Alice... Okay, we'll head over right away."

Hanging up, Sara hurried to Adrian's study. "Aunt Alice called. She said Grandma's unwell. Let's go see her."

Adrian's expression froze, worry flickering across his features as he immediately stood. "What happened to Grandma?"

Sara explained as they hurried out the door, "Aunt Lin said Grandma's been under the weather. She caught a chill recently, and it's made her health worse. She called because she's really worried."

She placed her hand over his to comfort him. "Don't worry too much. Grandma will be okay."

"Mm."

Adrian nodded, but his tense grip on the steering wheel betrayed his unease. The tendons in his arms stood out sharply as his knuckles turned white.

He had planned to visit once his own matters were resolved, hoping to let things cool down with his family. But he hadn't considered how the confrontation would affect his grandmother's health. He regretted the pain he'd caused her.

The drive to the estate was silent, Adrian's jaw clenched tightly. Sara cast him worried glances but decided to let him focus.

When they arrived, Adrian parked hastily and headed straight inside. Alice Miller was already waiting at the door.

"Young Master, Madam," she greeted anxiously.

"How's Grandma?" Adrian asked immediately.

"She's asleep now after taking her medicine," Alice Miller explained. "Her health has been fragile as always. After what happened last time, she constantly worries about you two. She hasn't been sleeping well, and her energy is low. The snowfall made it worse—she caught a chill while walking in the courtyard."

Sara's heart sank. "Why didn't you call us sooner?"

"She didn't want to worry you. But I couldn't keep it to myself anymore," Alice Miller admitted, her voice tinged with guilt.

"It's my fault..." Adrian muttered, his expression dark with remorse.

Sara took his hand gently. "Let's stay until she wakes up."

Adrian nodded.

The two settled in the living room to wait. Sara squeezed Adrian's hand, her voice soft. "When Grandma wakes up, talk to her properly. She loves you and just wants the best for you. Let her know how you feel. And we'll make it a habit to visit her every weekend, okay?"

Adrian's tense expression eased slightly. "Okay."

Alice Miller brought them tea and quietly observed their interaction. Seeing how much closer they seemed now, she felt a sense of relief.

The old lady woke up around mid-afternoon. Alice Miller took her temperature and helped her drink some warm water. Sara suggested softly, "Why don't you talk to Grandma first? I'll join you later."

Adrian nodded and stepped into the room.

Inside, Alice Miller was helping the elderly woman sit up in bed. Adrian hesitated at the door before walking in. "Grandma..."

The old lady glanced at him briefly before turning her face away.

Sensing the tension, Alice Miller quietly exited, leaving the two alone.

Adrian approached, adjusting the blanket around his grandmother. He hesitated before sitting by the bed. "Grandma... I'm sorry."

The old woman remained silent for a long moment before sighing. "Is that all you came to say?"

In the living room, Sara glanced toward the hallway, wondering how the conversation was going. Alice Miller brought over a fruit platter and encouraged her to eat something.

Sara smiled and picked up a piece of fruit. Alice Miller observed her thoughtfully and said with a warm smile, "Now that the young master is back, the old lady's health will improve. Seeing you two so close will put her mind at ease."

Alice Miller had watched Adrian grow up and knew how deep the bond between him and his grandmother ran. It was a bond more potent than any other in the family.

When Adrian finally emerged from the room half an hour later, his eyes were slightly red, but his expression was lighter. Sara felt a wave of relief.

Over dinner, the old lady's spirits seemed noticeably better. Watching Adrian care for Sara so attentively, she couldn't help teasing, "I remember someone was quite reluctant when I suggested they get married."

Adrian sighed helplessly. "Grandma..."

"I admit I didn't see clearly back then," he said, lowering his head slightly. "I understand now."

The old lady smiled at Sara. "Good. Sara, eat more. If this boy ever troubles you, you come straight to me."

Sara's eyes curved into crescents as she smiled. "Thank you, Grandma! And don't worry—Adrian and I will come over for dinner every weekend from now on."

The old lady chuckled warmly. "You'll make me the happiest grandma if you do."

The burden on his heart lightened with the air cleared between Adrian and his grandmother. On the drive home, he glanced at Sara. "Thank you, Sara."

"For what?" she asked, laughing lightly. "Why are you thanking me again?"

Adrian's lips curved slightly. "For just... being here. With me."

As they approached their house, Sara's phone rang. It was Ethan Brown's familiar voice on the other end.

"I'm back from the race and waiting at your place. I have something for you."

Sara paused in surprise. "Alright. I have something to talk to you about, too."

After hanging up, Adrian asked, feigning nonchalance, "The racer?"

"Mm-hmm," Sara nodded.

Ethan Brown had been busy competing during her recent troubles. Though he'd been supportive on social media, he hadn't been able to be there in person. Now that he was back, he'd come straight to see her.

When they arrived, Ethan Brown leaned casually against a pillar with a gift box in hand. He straightened when he saw Sara and Adrian stepping out of the car—hands tightly clasped.

"Sara, you and your... brother seem really close," he blurted, his brain struggling to process the scene.

"Brother?" Adrian raised an eyebrow, his tone laced with amusement as he looked at Ethan Brown. "Is that how Sara introduced me?"

"Well, isn't that..." Ethan Brown trailed off, confused.

Adrian slid his arm around Sara's waist, his expression relaxed, but his words pointed. "Ah, I remember now. Sara was upset with me that day."

He smirked, his tone light and teasing. "Just a little marital fun. Don't mind us."
