"Who's your wife? Stop calling me that," Sara Hart protested in a low voice, her cheeks flushing.
Adrian Blake leaned in, his hand gently massaging her waist, and rested his chin on her shoulder. His deep voice, laced with amusement, teased her. "Alright, if my wife doesn't want me to say it, I won't."
Sara: ...
Why hadn't she noticed before how smooth Adrian could be?
Her gaze drifted to the bouquet of lily-of-the-valley flowers he had placed on the side table. The delicate white blossoms caught her attention, and she couldn't help but smile. "Today's bouquet is really pretty."
"As long as you like it," Adrian said softly, brushing her hair behind her ear. "Oh, and the cake I brought is a new flavor—lime. The staff said it's a seasonal special. Want to try it?"
Sara glanced at him, a hint of complaint in her tone. "Adrian... I really shouldn't eat more cake. I've already gained weight."
Adrian's hand moved to her waist, squeezing gently. "Where? You're still as slender as ever."
Sara puffed out her cheeks, poking at her own face. "I've gained a few pounds, I swear."
In truth, Adrian had been spoiling her a little too much lately. Every time he went out, he returned with pastries, desserts, or some new treat. At home, he always prepared delicious meals, making her appetite better than ever.
Adrian's arms tightened around her waist as he kissed her cheek. "You haven't gained any weight. And even if you did, I'd still love it."
Wait... that sounded a little off.
"And if you're worried about it, we can just exercise more in the evenings," Adrian added, lips curling into a mischievous smile.
Sara immediately caught his hidden meaning and glared at him. "My waist is still sore from last time!"
Adrian's dark eyes sparkled with amusement. His smile deepened. "What are you thinking, huh? I was talking about going to the gym."
Sara's face turned bright red. Flustered, she stammered, "I-I was talking about normal exercise too!"
"Really?" Adrian asked, his tone playful and disbelieving.
"Of course!" Sara huffed, thoroughly embarrassed. Lately, her mind had been drifting into dangerous territory too often, all thanks to him.
Adrian chuckled softly, ruffling her hair. "Alright, alright. You're right. Now, are you hungry? I brought your favorite dishes for lunch."
Sara's expression softened immediately. "Okay."
While Adrian Blake and Sara Hart were basking in their domestic bliss, things were far less peaceful for Rachael Hall.
Inside her dressing room, Rachael Hall stood amidst shattered glass and scattered papers. She had swept everything off the table in a fit of rage. Her hands trembled as she muttered to herself, "Impossible... This can't be true. He's married?"
For years, she had watched Adrian closely, convinced that he had no woman in his life. She had seen no signs, no clues that he had someone special.
And yet, not only was he married—he was the founder of YD Technology.
She should have known.
Someone as brilliant and capable as Adrian would never be cast aside.
But... his wife. Sara? That soft-spoken, unassuming girl? How could Adrian possibly fall for someone like her?
