On the Private Jet

Adrian Blake sat quietly, his long fingers intertwined with Sara's, his eyelashes slightly lowered in contemplation.

Behind them sat Lucas Graves and Xenia Graves. Next to them were Ella and Sam, and at the very back was Eric, still busy with his laptop.

Sara Hart, sensing Adrian's slight discontent, gently squeezed his hand in reassurance.

Initially, Adrian had planned to accompany Sara back to South City for a private and intimate trip—just the two of them.

However, during a casual conversation, Lucas overheard their travel plans and excitedly asked about South City.

Sara, without much thought, had invited him along.

And Lucas —completely oblivious to Adrian's increasingly dark expression—had happily agreed!

Since inviting one person had already changed their trip, Sara thought, why not invite a few more?

So, she also asked Xenia, then had Adrian check if Eric was interested. She assumed that both Xenia and Eric would decline—but surprisingly, they both agreed.

As for Ella, Sara had always wanted to take her best friend to her hometown, and this trip seemed like the perfect opportunity.

And, for the sake of Ella's love life, she enthusiastically roped in Sam Lewis as well.

Thus—what was supposed to be a romantic two-person getaway... turned into a group trip with seven people.

Adrian's Displeasure

Adrian would follow Sara anywhere—but the presence of so many people meant less alone time with her, which left him slightly annoyed.

Sara understood his mood immediately. She leaned in and whispered, "Before, I always went back alone. But now, I have you and a group of friends with me. I'm actually really happy."

A two-person trip was romantic and intimate, but a group trip had its own unique charm and joy.

Besides—if her grandmother were watching over her from above, she would be comforted to see Sara surrounded by so many people who cared about her.

Adrian turned his head to look at her. Ever since she had decided to return to South City, her happiness had been genuine.

Even though he would have preferred to have her all to himself, as long as she was happy—that was enough.

He gently squeezed her hand in response.

Just as he was about to say something, Lucas suddenly leaned over from behind.

"Sara, are we almost there? This is my first time in South City! Is it really all ancient bridges and winding rivers like the pictures?"

Adrian glanced at him coldly, but Lucas —completely fearless—ignored the warning.

After all, Sara was the real decision-maker here. As long as she said yes, his brother couldn't do anything about it.

Sara chuckled, "Yes, we're almost there. The city district has preserved its ancient architecture, but many areas have been converted into tourist spots. The new district is just like any modern city."

Lucas's curiosity didn't stop there.

"Then where does Sara live? Can we all fit there? If not, what's the best—wait, sis! What are you doing?!"

Before he could finish, Xenia grabbed the back of his collar and yanked him back down into his seat.

"You talk too much," she said flatly. She had pulled an all-nighter working on a project and was now trying to catch up on sleep.
