The larger pizza makin' Rex and his old human protege stared at one another, glancing back and forth between each other with expressions of knowing better that this would probably be a bloodbath for the stooge that thought he could take on the queen of racing. Anon was still perplexed that Samantha was actually who she said she was, but after his suspicions had been confirmed, and seeing the bike that she had raced on many years back, he felt that he needn't worry about a thing.
Anon felt an arm wrapping around his larger one, causing the large man to spin around and look down at his side to see his wife now standing beside him, nuzzling the side of her face against her husband's bicep and giving visible weariness at the door where her parents had gone through moments ago. "Oh god, what in Raptor Christ is she thinking!? She can barely function in an actual car without almost hitting someone; that's why Dad always used to drive us!" She buries her right hand into her face and grumbles. "...and why is Dad so onboard with getting my mom to race... a-and, WHY ARE YOU SO ONBOARD WITH IT AS WELL!? HAVE YOU SEEN HER, ANON!? SHE CAN'T WALK RIGHT; SHE LITERALLY WOBBLES AROUND WHEN WALKING!!! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK SHE CAN DRIVE A FREAKIN- A FREAKIN..."
Lucy begins heaving heavily at the thought of her small, frail mother potentially being trampled by the bigger bikes as she races down the neighborhood streets, or being in some sort of accident that would cause her serious injuries... or worse; oh, God! What the hell was she thinking! Anon was about to calm down his panicky wife by telling her what Ripley had said to him because it seemed that even she didn't know about her own mother's past, weirdly enough, until another panicked voice hollered out through the crowd and staggered right in front of the distressed ptero woman. "Lucy!?"
The anxious, trembling pterosaur snaps her attention to her brother's voice that is called from the crowd, then finds her brother stumbling to her with a look of equal panic that seems to be as bad or even worse than his sister's face. Naser stumbles forward and grabs hold of his older sister's shoulders, gripping them hard, and now shakes the woman's marbles out as he blabbers with eyes strained open with alarm. "WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING!?"
"I DON'T KNOW!? OH GOD, WHAT I-"
"Lucy, Naser!"
The two snap out of their momentary panic and fix their identical worried gazes on the human man. Anon, now finally having calmed the both of them down after a few seconds of trying to get their attention, only for them to block them out from how worried they were, had finally gotten through to them as they were slowly sinking farther and farther into their own mental sinkholes; he was glad that he was able to pick them back out before anything escalated further.
Anon grabs hold of Naser's shoulder and then gently places his other hand on his wracked wife's abdomen. He looks at the both of them, eyes softening and a smile growing across his bland beige face. "Look, it might sound weird, and yes, I know you're worried for her; I am too, but I honestly think she has this in the bag after what she and Ripley told me. And I mean, come on, you guys, your mom's a badass; how can she not beat him?"
What he didn't expect was the faces he had gotten from Lucy and Naser; the definition of pure horrification was drawn all over their faces, almost as if they had no... no clue... wait a damn frickin' minute.
Anon, now narrowing his eyes and crossing his arms questioningly, raises his eyebrows and purses his lips together as he tries to read the detail on his family's face... Oh my god. Anon places his hand on his head, stumbles back, and eventually sighs out loud. This causes the two siblings to look back and forth at one another before they both bark back in unison, now completely annoyed at the man's secrecy. "What!?"
Anon isn't sure if he should say. This WAS their mother that they were talking about, and how the HELL didn't they know already about her past? He was SURE that they knew already; there was a LITERAL motorcycle in that garage for the past who knows how long! Surely those two would have said something to them about it out of curiosity; he sure knows he would have if a cool-ass bike like that was discovered by him out of the blue.
