Hey everyone! It's the author of this story here that doesn't know how to take a break. Just wanting to say I can't believe how many views this damn book has gotten. Like, seriously, wow. It has racked up over 25,000 views across Archive and Wattpad. Not what I was expecting, but a welcome nonetheless.
Currently enjoying my summer vacation with my family and now wanting to dive full-time into my book. This is the last chapter before the wait gets longer because I've had this already cooking for, like, a month now. I just want to keep it polished and ready to go before I release it. After this chapter is set and published, I have no more backed-up chapters ready to be released, so my year advantage has been used up. I want to make more art of this book, but with the time I already work on this book and everything I already do in my daily life, it's been hard, but hopefully I'll be able to find some time!
I was wanting to put this on hiatus so I can work on the chapters and upload them all at once, but I kind of don't want to do this and upload them when they are ready. We are getting to the end of the book (finally, after over a damn year now), and so everything will be wrapping up and coming to a close. I have had everything planned for over a year now, so I'm so hyped to finally put everything on text and ready to release everything when it is done. The finale is almost here, so stay tuned for when the Wani and Snoot gang finally are able to close their chapters and are ready to spend their lives with their loved ones.
And with that, let's get this chapter open, and I hope you are all eager to see the conclusion to the Fourth of July arc!
July 4th 201M B.C 2028 (Late At Night)
The party was finally over for everyone, but the party would live on for the Aarons, since they lived there. As Ripley and Samantha got to work with the help of their son and his girl-with a dash in the middle-friend, their friends and family members got ready to leave, like Anon and Lucy packing everything up and bundling their children into their car seats. Everyone has gone home by now; the only ones remaining were the Nito family, Inco's parents, Naser and Janice, and a lonesome Daryl, Moe, and the Mouses.
Daryl's crew had left to go home; it was getting late, and they didn't want to be caught out too late in the night. Daryl, being the Samaritan he was, helped out and cleaned up with Ripley. Samantha was grateful for her new friend to help out; even Ripley was stunned to see their new companion doing some heavy lifting that was practically twice his size. Short to say, Naser was trying his hardest, though his noodle dino arms were meant for medical handling, not for lifting things that are extremely heavy.
Still outside getting ready to go, Inco's family had settled into their family wagon, ready to go off home and get some shut-eye since it was getting way too late, especially for the young missy in the back who needed her sleep. Olivia watched in the rearview mirror as Inco buckled up the little child into her car seat, beaming at her as she held the present that she had acquired from her grandfather. Speaking of...
She hears the grass crunching; sounds of footsteps coming closer draw the family's attention. Coming around, Inco sees his father, hands together as he looks him up and down with pride. Inco looks down at his short father, puffing out his chest and smiling at his dad; their lives were different now. It was going to be difficult; things still needed to be mended, but he could see it getting there. His eyes glance over the car and see her, his mother, standing by the Aaron's mailbox, trying to keep away from the family, not wanting to cause anything with her presence.
He can see her staring at the young lotl through the window and then fixating her eyes on him and Olivia's belly. He frowned at her, which she saw; he was still mending things between him and his father; his mother was going to take longer, years even. Right now, he just couldn't bear to look at her, even if she did take everything she said back; the words she said still rang out in his ears.
