Hey everyone! Sorry for the long wait for this damn chapter! Been super busy: homework, college, projects, and other personal crap. Thank you all for sticking around, everyone. This arc is almost over with, just one more chapter left and then we get to the spicy stuff that I cannot wait to get into. The final bits of the story that I've been waiting to write for literally a year now! I had everything ready, but it's not that time yet to get into it. Still got a few more important arcs, and then it's the big finale.
Alright, enough about that. I hope everyone has played the demo of Volcaldera Ashfall l, because oh boy I have and I am ready as hell for what pain is about to be in store for us! Ngl, I'm so glad that we have a named and faced protagonist-as much as I will miss our dumb protagonists that have play-on-words, I'm really interested to see what is in store for him.
Also, we must protect Ashley at all costs.
Alright, that is all! I'm going back into hibernation and I will be back with another chapter soon! Hope everyone has a great time reading it because this one is an important one that I can guarantee will surprise some of you. Anyways, hope you all enjoy and have a nice day today!
As always, onto the lotls, snoots, and gators!

You could almost hear the chattering of her legs as she stands right behind the human boy. Her wings were placed close to her backside as she held onto the raft tightly. She wouldn't say out loud she was nervous to do this, even though it was clear to everyone with functional eyes that the mother was scared. She didn't know why her son was so eager to do this; she blames it on his idiot father for this!
She could already imagine her husband in the kitty pool with their daughter, letting her do some small paddles. That should be HER there, not him. But, of course, her husband and daughter shared a bond that she could not live up to, no matter how hard she tried, even if she was going through literal hell to give birth to the infant.
Her shoulders sag down as she stares out to the side; the vast distance of trees that surrounded the giant water park was easily viewable from how high they had marched up this water attraction ride. How the hell did she let her son talk her into this? The little boy was the pure definition of excitement. Not a single ounce of worry was etched on his face; she hated to say it, but Alex was a spitting image of Anon... Raptor Jesus, help her, please.
Lucy gulps when she and her son take a few steps up when the line starts moving. Alex helped her carry the giant tube that they would both ride in since this water attraction was a double seater; if you were wanting to go solo, good luck was all that needed to be said. Setting down the raft once more since they stopped their movement, Lucy gave the horizon of trees that was a green ocean a deathly sideways look, practically turning green herself when her eye drifted down and caught how high they were up here now. "Raptor Christ..."
"You said something, Mom?" The pterosaur snapped her gaze down to her short son. The young boy was fixing his swim floaties since they were going on a ride that would lead to a deep end, so he was at it now trying to tighten them so they wouldn't come undone at an unfortunate time. Lucy gives her son her signature beam of optimism with a loving nod directed at her beautiful boy. She wanted to instill confidence in her boy and everyone around-she didn't want the other adults to see that she was afraid when her son was practically vibrating at the thought of going down the ride since she was the adult of the two of them.
Even though she was an adult with a steady job that she loves, an adoring husband that she could rely on, and two beautiful children for her to spoil, she felt as if she were a young girl again. Even though it has been years since the incident with her father, she could still remember the time when she and her father, Ripley, went on a ride similar to this that caused her to come out with an intense fear of heights and fast-paced rides. She was back to square one again. "E-Everything is fine, sweetie. Just... so excited, is all! I can't wait to go down the... slide. Yay..."
