Aeliana lifted her head upwards, finding a face staring down at her. It took her a split second before her pink eyes widened into saucepans.

Stunned, she loudly exclaimed, "Zeru!?"

The familiar purple head smiled widely as he deemed her reaction satisfactory. He released her hand and nodded, grinning cheekily as he spoke, "Do you like my surprise?"

"Well I am surprised if that's what you're keen on."

He laughed, clearly pleased at her response. He was wearing a simple white collar t-shirt and dark navy pants. Taking a seat next to her, he took the pebble out from her hand and twirled it around in his.

"So focused on trying to get more than three skips are you?" he chuckled before tossing the pebble, the stone skipping five times before plopping down into the lake.

Aeliana ignored his question and pressed on another matter instead. She turned her body, facing him as she spoke,

"You're studying here? At the academy?"

Zeru raised an eyebrow, "What? Like it's hard to get in?"

She stared at him before huffing, "Haha very funny. But seriously, are you?"

"I mean I'm on campus which only means two things. One, I'm a professor and two I'm a student. I think it's obvious which one I'm in."

"Thank you genius, I wouldn't have known at all." she sarcastically replied back with an eye roll.

Zeru chuckled and leaned back slightly. Facing towards her, he smiled; his eyes forming crescents as he said,

"I look forward to being classmates with you next semester."

Aeliana returned the smile and nodded, "I look forward too— wait how do you know we're in the same class?"

He scratched the back of his head as he whistled, "I might...have pull some strings."

She scoffed, amazed at him as she shook her head.

"Unbelievable."

Zeru side-eyed her as he grumbled, "Hey the only reason why I'm even here is because of you. I already learnt everything."

Aeliana felt her heart skip a beat as she looked at him with surprise, "Why would you go that far though?"

He brought his gaze over to the ducks that happily swam around the lake as he answered her question, "You're my only friend."

"...Is Violet not your friend too?"

"Well you're the only one whose the same age as me." he pointed out.

She paused before nodding, agreeing with his words, "You do have a point then."

He chuckled and shrugged, "You're special to me."

"Sounds...weird."

"I'm serious!"

Aeliana scrunched up her nose and shook her head, "Have you moved into the dorms already?"

"Yup and I got my own room."

"You're not sharing?"

"I was supposed to but everything was filled so they made an exception for me."

"What an enormous luck you have."

Zeru playfully stuck his tongue out, "Hooray for me~"

Then he gestured towards the back and added, "Could you show me around? You know this place better than me."
