The day of the coronation arrived and Aeliana was getting dressed with the help of the maids. Once she was done, all of her brothers were already waiting for her so they left immediately. Upon reaching the Imperial Palace, there was a long line of carriages waiting to be allowed inside.
Aeliana, sitting in the same carriage as Claud, peeked her head outside, getting a good look at the long line before sighing.
"I bet we're only getting inside after half an hour or something."
Claud chuckled and nodded, "This is the Empire, of course this is normal."
She closed the window and the curtains before shooting a look at her brother, "Okay, someone who often visits the Capital."
"Being sarcastic with me huh?" he snickered but paid no mind to it.
"It will be our turn before you know it, so just relax." he let out a slight groan as he stretched his arms.
Aeliana briefly glanced at him before heaving a quiet sigh. Just as she estimated, it took around thirty to fourty minutes before they were finally let inside.
"That took forever!" Marius complained, stretching his limbs once they all got off their carriages.
Leon checked the time and gestured to them, "Come on, we have to go to our seats."
"But it's only starting in an hour!"
Leon shot a look at Marius who peeped his mouth shut and listened, like a cat hiding its tail between its legs. As they walked inside, greeting other nobles they come across, they were escorted to their designated seats.
"Brother must we really stay seated the entire time?" Marius asked, shaking his legs to which Darius smacked them in response.
"Yes, our status is high so do not do anything that can damage our reputation." Leon sternly answered, making Marius let out a sigh and sit up straight.
"Well can I at least get up and talk to my friends?"
"Yes."
Marius made a fist bump motion on his side and got up, walking over to where his friends were. Aeliana who sat beside Darius, tapped his arm and whispered, "You aren't going to talk with your friends?"
Darius turned to her and smiled, shaking his head in response, "No, I prefer sitting here. Why? Would you prefer I talk to them?"
She shook her head, "No, I was asking. You can do what you choose to do, brother."
Darius lightly chuckled, patting her head, "Alright, then I will continue sitting here with you."
She hummed and nodded. After a while, she felt the need to use the bathroom. As she headed towards the direction of the bathroom, she noticed a familiar purple blob of hair, which instantly made her do a double take; however when she glanced around, there was no sight of purple.
Aeliana furrowed her eyebrows, doubting her eyesight before deciding to brush it off and headed inside the ladies' bathroom. After doing her business, she washed and dried her hands, returning to the venue hall.
"Do you take that long in the bathroom?" an unfamiliar voice spoke.
With knitted brows, she spun around. Standing before her was a familiar blob of purple hair she was too familiar with. A stunned expression was plastered on her face but she shook it away and spoke,
"Why are you here?"
Zeru let out a short chuckle and crossed his arms, "Your tone is so harsh, I'm hurt." he responded, hovering his hand over his heart but Aeliana wasn't amused.
