Spring rolls around, and the academy announces a two-week holiday due to the upcoming coronation. Daphne leaves for the Empire in a hurry due to the preparations. Aeliana and her twin brothers also head back to the dukedom.
"Alien, you didn't forget anything did you?" Marius questioned as he took her bags.
She pondered for a bit before shaking her head, "No, I double checked everything."
He shot her a cheeky grin as he teased, "Not triple checked?"
Frowning, she elbowed his side, receiving a yelp in return: "Shut up. Let's go already. Brother Darius is waiting for us by the carriage by now."
"Tch you only care about Darius." he grumbled, still carrying her bags as they headed to the carriage.
"As if you don't." she retorted back and picked up speed, leaving Marius gaping at her.
Darius was chatting with their coachmen, and when he ended the conversation, he noticed Aeliana walking over. A warm smile appeared on his face.
"Have you packed everything up?"
"Yes brother, Marius is taking it for me."
Just as she said that, Marius ran after her, yelling, "I care about everyone for your information!!"
Aeliana placed a sweet smile on her face as she looked at Darius, blatantly ignoring Marius. He glanced over at Marius before letting out a soft sigh.
"Since all of us are here now, shall we head home?"
The return back home was just the usual, taking around a week before they finally arrived back at the dukedom.
"Welcome back." Xander greeted them as they got out of the carriage along with all the employees working at the duchy.
"Hello Xander, are Brother Leon and Claud home?" Darius asked after giving a nod towards the servants who carried their luggage into the duchy.
Xander shook his head, "Currently, His Grace has headed west of the dukedom. It is time for the routine checkup on that side. And Lord Claud went to visit Lady Eliana. He will be back by early evening."
Marius stretched his arms and spoke, "Guess it's just us again. You two want to do anything?"
Aeliana waved her hand, "I want to roam around the house with my roller skates. I haven't touched them in a long time already."
"I have a research project I need to complete so I'll be in the library, want to join?" Darius questioned, bumping elbows with him.
Marius scrunched his face and shuddered, "Forget it then. I'm gonna rest in my room then go swing my sword later."
And so the three siblings dispersed, doing their own things until it was time for dinner. Aeliana had just finished drying her hair when Flora knocked on her door, informing her it was time for dinner.
As she headed to the dining hall, she realised she was the first one to arrive. She sat down at her usual seat and patiently waited for her brothers to all arrive but after five or so minutes, she grew bored.
Her eyes darted over, and after a quick contemplation, she sat in the middle, where only the head of the family would sit. With a cheeky grin, she sat up straight and put on her best poker face she could muster up.
After a while, she giggled to herself, finding it amusing to pretend to be Leon.
"Hm..what would he do next..?" she muttered, thinking hard.
"Oh! I got it—"
"What are you doing?" Leon interrupted her, his face right behind her.
She yelped out in shock before whipping her head around, finding him standing there with a raised eyebrow. Sheepishly, she shot him a smile and hurriedly scurried off the set and back into hers.
