Author's Note: A long chapter ahead!
---
Aeliana and the twins returned back to the academy and immediately had to focus on studying for their finals. The exams lasted for almost a month before they got their summer break.
Although her brothers decided to head back home, she stayed at the academy, wanting to polish up her skills in archery and magic.
"Can't you practice at home?" Marius asked in a slightly annoyed tone.
"I rather stay here. Plus Violet is also staying back with me so I'm not going to be alone."
Marius let out a loud sigh as he kicked a pebble, "Just take a break, you always study now."
"I'm not changing my mind. Instead, why not you stay back with me then?"
"On second thought, you can stay here as long as you want, bye."
She waved goodbye to her brothers as they headed back home. As she returned back to her dorm, she noticed Violetta standing by her door.
"Eli!" Violetta called out as soon as they made eye contact with one another.
She placed her hands together and hurriedly apologised, "Eli, I'm sorry but I can't stay during the summer break!"
Aeliana blinked, stunned as she asked, "Why?"
Violetta responded with a guilty expression on her face, "My father told me we're going on a one week vacation to the seaside. I did tell him I would skip it but he said I have to go."
Aeliana smiled and patted Violetta's head gently, "It's alright. Your father misses you so you should go."
"I'm really sorry for leaving you like this Eli..."
"It's fine, really! When you come back, show me photos of the place. Your father previously bought one of the newest invention right?"
Violetta nodded.
"Use it and show me the photos you took when you return back okay?"
"Okay...sorry again Eli.."
Aeliana reassured one more time before making her return back to her room to pack her bags. Aeliana closed the door to her room and glanced at her roommate's side. Remi had also headed home, letting her have the entire room to herself.
She stretched her limbs before sitting on the edge of her bed, grabbing her communication tool. Turning it on, she began sending a message to someone.
Dear Princess,
Are you staying back at the academy during summer break?
From Aeliana Alston
Within a couple of minutes, she received a message back. With hopeful eyes, she checked the message before she sighed.
Dear Aeliana,
Nope. My brother forced me to go back.
From Daphne
Aeliana placed the tool down by her bedside table and fully laid down on her bed, arms and legs stretched out, taking up her whole bed. She heaved a sigh, staying put in the bed for almost an hour before slowly getting up.
Tiny groans escaped her mouth as she lazily moved towards her table. She stared at the pile of books she had to study and huffed. Despite not wanting to study, the memories of her first life of studying religiously had been fully ingrained into her by now.
