Outside is hurricane Katrina (depending on how old we won't probably remember in great detail. I myself don't remember too much about since it was back in 2005) while what goes on outside is happening in one of the places that it hit in Louisiana people down in the morgue in scrubs wheeling bodies after another from room to room. The examinator Graham and one of the other Doctors Mike they walk together pushing the dead bodies into room for autopsy talking about their sex lives they stop at seeing Brennen. Sorry Dr. Brennen they start. It's ok she smiles back at them. It's ok that's just how males bond by exaggerating their conquests she said back to them. The examiner told Brennen that Dr. Mike wasn't exaggerating that the woman he had bedded the night before had a thing for coffins.
On a screen was Zack calling from DC they talked a bit more about sex while Zack gave his congrats to the Dr. about having coffin sex before the other men decided that they had more work they had to do as Brennen's smile didn't drop from her face. Mike leaves while Graham tries not to laugh then Zack told her as they looked at the new body that they were autopsying he said that some of the info that she sent for him to analyze some parts of the remains were already preserved. On the other side in DC he saw her on his own screen as they talked about the hurricane and the body that they're discussing. How the bodies were unearthed and that they had to be I.D. and then reburied. Zack told her he could come down there and help her but Brennen said it was her last day there and she'd be home tomorrow.
Flashforward Brennen was examining the skull of the decomposed body the examinar was trying to flirt with her trying to tell her that this is why they call "this" whatever this was the "big easy." What's this? And what's the big easy? Either way Brennen of course didn't look up or stop what she was doing. Until he tried to place his hand on the tray and only looked up when it came crashing down and she started laughing. Graham's assistant Dr. James Embry came into the room with a file for the body Brennen was looking over along with a detective and an officer. Gave her the file for a John Doe 361 which means wow that was a lot of bodies found that needed identifying after the hurricane and the sad part is not all of the bodies would be found and identified but also this wouldn't be an episode if they were simply just going over a dead body from a national disaster there was going to be one of them murdered something my brother would have to come in on for. They told her where the body was found but she didn't seem to care about that part.
Hello Detective Harding she greeted before telling them their victim was male and in their 40s. It's badly decomposed and looks pretty banged up James started. Though we wish we could find out if they were killed by hurricane or by murder. But why would it matter if they had or not? They're still dead and there was still a national disaster who wonders those things when you're just trying to figure out who they once were? Thinking what if is a dangerous path. I should know I often do. Each time I do I sit in fetal position sobbing locking myself in my room. Mommy? Mommy?! I would hear my daughter call for me she would come in crawl into bed with me and hold me. It should've been the other way around. My daughter shouldn't be the one taking care of me. What kind of life is that? When we were away with the girls some of our "teachings" other than my mobile therapy with Lance Sweets we all came from different walks of life none of them good ones or for the most part none of us. We would have mental health days and therapy days.
We were always there for each other. In the beginning when Jason's dad was working with us he and Jason both would insist that when we had those days where we had those "lessons" that we try and stay as relaxed as we could while we traveled from place to place. They knew what they signed up for when they all started this band. They wanted a band that showed that hope was still possible that when you're at rock bottom the only place to go was up. Many of the money we made from ticket sales goes to those charities I was telling you about. Most often what ended up happening was we would spend half an hour in our own little corners and then my room was the biggest with my baby we would all end up snuggled up in my bed having a good silent cry session talking things out. We had each other it was all we needed. We all had issues with that what if part wondering where we would be or who we would be if Seasonal Sisters hadn't pulled us out of our dark places. This was exactly what Jason wanted to give hope back to make us understand we were more than just a charity project to help lift us up.
