Jean is now officially a month into her pregnancy. Scott is by her side day and night keeping an eye on her. Even though it is early in her pregnancy, he wants to be by her side day and night. The college allows this and gives them a private dorm free of tuition and fees and finances. They're grateful for that. Very grateful for that indeed.
Madelyn is a new student at the college. She's the daughter of Scott's brother Alex and his wife Kendra. Yeah, Scott's younger brother got married before he did. Scott didn't even realize his brother had a girlfriend. They now had three children. The eldest was Madelyn. The middle was Eric. The third was Scott Aaron. Madelyn even told Scott how well his brother was doing. He was glad to hear that. He was glad to have a part of his brother's family at college with him to remember his brother. "How's your father? Brothers? Mother?" Scott asks her. "They're fine. They're great," she replies. "Your brother is a wonderful father to us. My mom isn't so well. She has cancer," she says as she begins to cry. "I'd rather not talk about it." He changes the subject. "How are you liking college? What are your abilities?" Scott asks her instead. "I can create force fields, I can shoot beams like you can from your eyes Uncle Scott, I also have your brother's ability as well," Madelyn replies. Scott feels really sorry for her. Sincerely and honestly he does. He hates seeing his niece so sad and upset. Just the same, he can't wait for Jean to meet her. She soon comes out of their private dorm and sees the two of them talking. "Hey Jean!" Scott shouts. "Come over here! There's someone I want you to meet!" She comes over. "Jean," says Scott, "this is my niece Madelyn. She's Alex's eldest child."
"Nice to meet you," says Jean.
"Nice to meet you too," Madelyn replies.
"I've arranged with the heads of the school for your dorm to be close to mine and Jean's. That way I'm there if you need me," he tells her.
"Thanks, I'll remember that," she says with a nod then heads off to her first class. Scott is so happy for his brother. Now if only he could contact him somehow and tell him that he's met Madelyn and that he and Jean are expecting a child of their own now as well.
