"Hey honey," said Scott, "what's the matter?"
"I'm going into labor early," she says, "quick, get me to the hospital."
He rushes her to the hospital. The doctor confirms it. She is indeed going into early labor. She pushes and heaves and pushes again. Little Rachel finally comes out at exactly five months. She's tiny. She's early. Jean and the baby will be staying at the hospital a long time still, but Scott has to leave. He's still a college student after all.
"Ah man," says Kurt to Scott, "another? Are Jean and the baby alright?"
"Fine," Scott replies.
"You sure?" Spyke asks.
"Positive," he replies, "little Rae just came a bit early is all. She'll be fine."
They leave it at that and part ways. I'm glad to hear that mom and child are doing fine. I can tell Scott is relieved to know so too. It's been such an eventful week here at GQU. That's for sure.
