Chapter 56

"Hello roomies!" Hollered Hope as she entered the room. Not only was she a genius and skilled fighter, she was also really spunky. It kind of unnerved her roommates Flit and Kitty a little bit. Flit was a senior and boy was she glad to be one! She didn't know how much of Hope she could handle. Luckily for her, she'd only have to put up with Hope for one school year.

"Do you girls know if Robin is single?" Asks Hope.
"He's not," replies Kitty. "He's with Barbara, as in Batgirl."
"That's too bad," sighs Hope, "I kind of wanted to ask him out but alas, he already has a girlfriend."

Meanwhile, outside on the track field, Pietro is running full speed against Kid Flash and Impulse. They're all training for a big track and field meet that's coming up. They hope to win too. Meanwhile, Wanda has secluded herself in her room with a book and Kurt. He talks to her and makes her laugh and she enjoys his company. After all, if she didn't, they wouldn't be dating. Everyone on campus knows the two are a couple.

"Wanda," says Kurt, "our anniversary of when we started dating is in a month."
"I know Kurt," replies a relaxed Wanda. "I got some news from home too," says Kurt. "I'm a big brother, mom, you know Mystique, she had a baby girl. I have a little sister named Courtney. She's a shape shifter and teleporter just like me!"
"Congratulations," replies Wanda. She then starts reading her book again. She loves Kurt and all but she would also love to read her book alone, so she finally asks him to leave. She then reads her book until she hears a scream come from down the hallway. It's Jean. She's laying on the floor with Scott on his knees at her side and holding their crying infant with a sense of worry and fear in his eyes.

That afternoon, Scott goes to the hospital just up the road from the hospital to check on his beloved Jean. When he gets her, he sees she's finally waken up and they share a kiss. "I'm so glad you're alright. You scared me today," says Scott taking her hand. "Where's our child?" Asks Jean confused.
"Rogue is babysitting her," replies Scott, "don't worry." Jean sighs. She can't wait to get back to the school and to her child. Unfortunately, she has to stay at the hospital for another week or until the doctor's give her the okay to leave.
"Promise you'll take good care of our child," says Jean.
"I promise," says Scott kissing her one last time before heading out the door and back towards Genosha Quintin U.
