After two more years of dating, Dick proposes to Anne Marie. Thrilled, she lets him carefully slip the engagement ring onto her finger. What she doesn't know is that Batman built in a touch neutralizing setting to the ring so she can now hold his hand. Dick soon tells her this. "Rogue," he says, "this ring is special. It has a little piece of tech in it that allows us to hold hands without you draining anything. What do you think?"
"I love it! Thanks so much Dick!" Responds Rogue as she embraces him in a hug and doesn't drain any life from him. She looks at him. "You weren't kidding. I'm so glad we can finally touch."
"Me too," responds Dick. "However, if you kiss me, that'll still drain me."
"Noted," responds Rogue. It's not like she cares. She's never been a big kisser ever since she drained her first boyfriend and put him in a coma anyways.
A few minutes later, the two part ways and head to their separate classes. They go through their morning classes impatiently but finally meet up again come lunch. At lunch, the two start planning their wedding. Rogue can't believe she's getting married. She never wouldn't dreamt it in a million years. She just can't believe her one dream is finally coming true.
A few hours later, lunch comes to an end and the two head off to their afternoon classes. Rogue heads to graphic design with Kitty while Dick heads off to chemistry with Scott and Alex. All the while the two can't help but think about their special day that's not that far away in their future.
