A week later, Jean is back at the school and is excitedly greeted by Scott, who has their child in his arms. He hands the baby to her and gives Jean a kiss. "I'm glad you're well and I'm glad you're back," he says before kissing her again. The two head back towards her dorm room. They can talk more there.
Meanwhile, Mystique has come to visit Kurt and has baby Courtney with her. "She's as much as a handful as you were at this age," says Mystique. "I do know that much." She sighs then continues, "it's a hassle just keeping up with her. She teleports everywhere. You did too as an infant. She even shape shifted for the first time three days ago. She's an early shifter while you were more of a late shifter. That's for certain." Mystique smiles and hands Nightcrawler his baby sister. This is the first time he's ever held his sister and he can't believe it. All of a sudden, Courtney sputters out the word "Kur". "She knows my name!" Says an excited Kurt, "she knows my name." He continues to catch up with his mother and rock his baby sister until their visit time is up for the day. "We'll be back in a week or two for another visit," says Mystique as she leaves, hugging Kurt who is standing in the doorway, before finally exiting. She then turns into a bird and flies away with a baby Courtney in her beak.
