The hum of the gravity room filled the air, a steady mechanical whir as the artificial gravity steadily increased. Y/N adjusted the straps of his weighted vest, feeling the extra pressure settle onto his body like a vice. He rolled his shoulders, testing his mobility. Mark cracked his knuckles, his breathing even as he stared at the control panel. The digital display flickered, shifting rapidly from ten times Earth's gravity to fifty.
"Fifty times gravity," Raditz muttered with a grin. "This is more like it."
Kakarot exhaled sharply. "Should push it to a hundred."
"You trying to die?" Mark scoffed. "I doubt even you could handle that just yet."
Y/N didn't bother to comment. He had already settled into a stance, his body accustomed to the strain. It was nothing compared to the power he had unleashed during the invasion, but it was still a necessary step in refining his control. He needed to be sharper, stronger. The battle had exposed their weaknesses, and weaknesses could not be tolerated.
Raditz lunged first, testing the limits of his movement in the increased gravity. He came at Kakarot with a heavy right hook, but Kakarot deflected it, pivoting smoothly before landing a knee into his brother's gut. Raditz staggered back but recovered quickly, grinning through the pain.
Mark rushed Y/N, throwing a quick combination of punches. Y/N weaved through them, his movements sharp and precise. Mark's Kaioken flared as he pushed harder, forcing Y/N to take him seriously. The two clashed, their blows sending shockwaves through the reinforced chamber. Raditz and Kakarot fought in tandem beside them, their battle a flurry of rapid strikes and counterattacks.
The gravity pressed down on them, draining their stamina with every move, but they pushed forward. Every strike, every dodge, every counter was another step toward their goal. They could not afford to stagnate.
"Harder!" Y/N growled, blocking a high kick from Mark before twisting around and driving an elbow into his ribs. Mark grunted but retaliated with a burst of speed, forcing Y/N to sidestep as a red aura flared around him.
Kakarot and Raditz had broken apart, now engaged in a brutal exchange of energy blasts that rattled the room. Raditz's attacks were wild but powerful, while Kakarot maintained his composure, his counterstrikes deliberate. Y/N noted the difference. Raditz had the power, but Kakarot had the discipline. That would need to change.
The fight continued, sweat dripping from their bodies as muscles screamed under the relentless force of gravity. There was no room for weakness. The universe wouldn't wait for them to catch up. If Frieza returned, if another threat arose, they had to be ready. And so, they fought, pushing their limits, embracing the pain, knowing that this was only the beginning.
The Viltrumites were not known for their charity. Their history was one of conquest, subjugation, and absolute rule. Yet, under Thragg's command, they worked alongside Earth's forces to restore what had been lost.
Massive transport ships arrived, loaded with materials far beyond what human engineering could produce. Steel reinforced with alien alloys, capable of withstanding extreme force, was distributed across the most damaged regions. Alien architects, though more accustomed to designing fortresses and warships, adapted their knowledge to Earth's structures. What once took months of human labor was now done in days. Entire city blocks, reduced to rubble during the invasion, rose again under the hands of the alien builders.
Thragg himself did not participate in the physical labor, but his presence was felt in every decision. He coordinated his people with cold efficiency, ensuring resources were used without waste. He made it clear to Cecil and the heroes that this was not an act of goodwill—it was strategy. The Viltrumites had a stake in this planet now. If Earth was to stand against Frieza's forces in the future, it needed to be rebuilt stronger than before.
