^Sun Goddess^

Snow's (POV)

I was in a clearing.

The clearing showed all types of creatures.

I know I was dreaming because unless I'm wrong unicorns (talking ones at that) don't exist.

So here I was in my la la land.

Jello buildings were jiggling away in the skittle scented breeze. Predator and prey were playing with each other and here I was.

Rolling around in the candy flowers and chasing origami butterflies.

Laying on the ground, staring at the sky and enjoying this place of fiction, is what I was doing when I felt the vibe around me shift.

It was as if everything stopped. Jiggly buildings stopped jiggling, wind stopped blowing and animals stopped what they were doing to stare at a spot in the woods that I just noticed was there.

Knowing something phenomenal was about to happen I stop rolling on the ground, stand up and look to the woods like everyone else. Walking into the clearing were two pure white pegasi flanking a woman.

The woman has sun red hair, a perfectly symmetrical body, with a perfect skin tone. Her face was perfect and held the bluest eyes you would ever see.

Unlike the others, I for one, had no idea who she was. She was walking towards me with a smile on her face. As she got closer it was as if I could feel her.

Feel her intentions.

She had a mothering aura about her, and she made me feel loved and needed. She made me feel like a daughter or what I hope a daughter would feel like.

She didn't even stop, she just walked on like she had some type of agenda and stopping wasn't on it.

"Come with me child. We have a lot to cover and not much time."

Quickly looking around before realizing that 'yes she was talking to me' I walk after her.

She takes me to the other side of the clearing to a river that flows down. On the embankment of said river lies a pretty little bench that she already resides on. Again, how'd I miss this?

"Sit child."

Not knowing who she was I cautiously sat down on the edge of the bench just in case this dream became a nightmare and I had to run.

She laughs, I feel like she knows what I was thinking about. Her laugh sounds like wind chimes and gave me a sense of a calm assurance.

"Child, I won't bite."

I look into her eyes, looking for some kind of truth to her comment. When I do I nod and relax back into the chair.

"I am the Sun Goddess. I made the Lions just like the Moon Goddess made the wolves."

I nod my head in thought moving what she just said around in my head trying desperately to connect the dots.

It makes sense, I mean if someone created the wolves then someone has to create the lions. It couldn't be the same person because both animals are completely different in our actions, but the same in the thought.

"Okay it makes sense, but why did you come see me? "

"Dearest child you need me now."

"Need you for what exactly?"

"Your life. You thought it was hard then, well it's only going to get worse in the future."

"Wha-Why?"

"Fate wills it. Don't be discouraged child you have plenty of people to help you along the way and at the end of the day it'll all be worth it."

"Can you tell me what dangers I shall face?"

"No. I can, however, tell you that everything is not always as it seems and to trust your mate. Your mate shall become your hero and partner if you allow it. And I do wish you would."

I feel so frustrated and confused at the vague amount of information given. I think she senses this because she tries to cheer me up.

"Chin up dear. The road ahead will give you the strength and knowledge to become a better you and the love and home you deserve."

Seeing something I don't the Sun Goddess gets up while pulling me up with her.

"Come with me."

Pulling me along with her as she walks I have no choice to follow her. She pulls me along the river to the bottom. At the bottom lies a pond, not immense in size or greatness.

"Look in there. What do you see?"

Walking to the edge of the pond I slowly lean over to look in. Looking in the pond I only see my face. Not knowing what I'm supposed to be seeing I pull back giving a questioning look to the Goddess.

"Oops, I forgot."

Pulling out a single white rose petal from God knows where she blows on it and throws it into the pond.

"There. Now look"

Not wanting to question and offend the Goddess I go back to the pond to look again. Still not understanding the purpose, I look anyways.

What I see surprises me.

I see an event. Whether it's the past, present, or future I do not know.

The scene plays out in the woods surrounded by hibernating trees that display a Winter-y background.

~Scene~

From the far left corner in tumbles three children of various ages, each laughing hysterically. They look like they're running from something or someone. I don't know why, but they feel important.

A pregnant woman enters in next and the kids look at her with eyes filled with love. I'm curious to see who those people are, but I can't see their faces.

~End scene~

In my haste to see them clearer I kick a pebble into the pond causing the water to ripple and erase the image like it never happened.

I don't know why, but that disappointed me.

"What was that? Who were they?"

"I can't tell you exactly. Although, I can tell you that they are important to you. Taking a part in your future will enable you to meet many people that love you and that will create happiness in your life."

I nod my head thinking about all the people she says love me.

How can you love a person who has nothing to offer them, not even her past?

"Snow, my dear child. You are so special, how can you not see that? One day you'll look back and see how truly wrong you were."

I gave her a small wan smile.

"You'll see darling. You'll see, but first-"

She gave me a kiss on the forehead before looking into my eyes.

"My child, even with the troubles you face remember that you have people to care and protect you. You might not see it now, but you will. Now, Snow, it is time for you to go. Just remember I'm always here for you."

With that last speech she releases me and gives me a smile before disappearing.

Then I open my eyes.
