I pout at the door as it closes behind him knowing that I won't be going out to help search. Snapping out of my daze I clapped my hands, wiping my face of all emotions except joy and happiness I walk out of the room and go down to the living room where the majority of the lion cubs were. Leaning against the doorway I watched them watch a movie in relative quietness.

On the outside.

On the inside I'm pretty sure they're all worried and scared. Worry flashes across my face briefly before it's quickly replaced with a loving smile.

"Hey who wants to help me make cookies?"

Faces snap to look at mine and then a stampede of children run over to me, completely ignoring the movie, as every child practically screams out a pastry they want to bake.

"Alright! Alright! Calm down, how about we make all of them? I'll set you all up and whoever wants to make the same thing can work together in groups."

A second to process isn't even needed as they all nod their heads and rush before me into the kitchen.

We spent the remaining of the time baking cookies, pies, rolls, tarts, and every other pastry we could think of that we had the ingredients for. At one point we even had a mini food fight before we cleaned it all up. And of course you're thinking that they couldn't have willingly wanted to clean up but they did.

I made a game out of it and we sang silly songs.

When they were all pooped out I made a easy lunch before ushering them back into the living room for them to relax and that's where the first shift found us when they came back.

We ran to the first border closest to us and began to sniff/look around for clues that someone from the pride has been around or by here lately and found nothing. We split up a little bit seeing if we could cover more ground efficiently, but I made sure we all stayed in eye sight. Just in case.

We went on like that for a good while and found absolutely nothing. I was close to calling it quits for the moment and heading back to refuel and regroup when a howl from up ahead startled me. Running over I make it over to her before the other two do and I wait for her to explain what she found.

She points up in the rocks barely off of the border where a ripped red cloth lies stuck between two jagged rocks.

"This is the only new suspicious thing I've seen or smelt that wasn't a wild animal Alpha. Considering that you're the only one who has been around them I think you might be of more help."

Nodding my head at the valid point made I begin to cautiously climb my way up the rocks. Once I'm at the top I slowly and carefully search my surroundings, keeping on the alert for an enemy attack from anywhere. Raising my head slightly I sniff the air, catching a hint of blood off of the wind and turning in the direction which it came from.

Calling for Xavier I wait in my spot while he climbs up the rocks and stands beside me before making my way over to the source of the smell with him watching my back. As I get closer to the source the scent of blood becomes heavier and soon I find myself on top of it. Looking around me I spot a rock formation that could ultimately hide and protect just about anything from anyone but a shifter and maybe a witch.

Making my way up to the formation I come up on the right while Xavier takes the left. We stalk slowly, peeking our heads over the ridge and freezing in our spots. Mind linking one of the others to come over to us Xavier and I carefully pick our way down the side, slipping a couple of times and causing rock pebbles to fall down onto their bodies. One of them wakes up growling, the one protectively laying over the other, before realizing who it was.
