Rain on me

Pacing the grounds outside I can't help but to remember the events that happened last night. I don't wanna question my mate but was it the right choice? How are we gonna find the one at fault without all hands on deck? And most importantly what are we gonna do when we find them?

Releasing a big puff of air I turn around to find Xena standing a couple paces away from me. She looks disoriented though, almost as if she's not fully there.

"You must see what they see."

"Wha-

I meant to question what she meant but before I could even voice my concern she throws a green like dust at me. My eyes start to roll back and I start to fall, but before I could even hit the ground I notice her eyes are fully white now.

The only thought going through my head is what in the actual fuck.

~above my body~

I thought I was gonna go into another vision. Like the ones I had many times before due to Xena or the sun goddess but I'm staring down wide-eyed at my body laying underneath me.

My chest still raises in an up and down motion but I can tell there's not something quite right about it. It seems stiff, almost like I was hooked up to a machine.

As I was contemplating on how exactly I must return to my body a small, warm hand slides into mine and I can tell it's a females hand.

Isn't it weird how even as a ghost, or what I'm assuming I am, I can still feel the warmth of a hand?

Looking over my shoulder I spin around impossibly fast, getting ready to give Xena a verbal beat down when she starts talking before me while pulling my hand in the opposite direction of where I wanted to go.

"Let's go Snow. We got people to see, things to do."

Grumbling under my breath I let her man handle me along until we walked into the forest. As soon as I stepped across I'm both confused and horrified at the sights and smells that I'm currently being assaulted with.

We're in what I'm assuming is a dark dungeon. Standing in the center of the hall the walkway goes along way to each side of me lined with rows upon rows of cages. Most of them contained at least four people in each but from what I could tell there was a couple that had one or two.

Holding a hand across my nose and staring at the pure evil around me I fail to notice the two armed guards walk right through me causing me to shiver in disgust.

In between the two men was a younger looking man that looked to be a Shifter judging by the silver shackles around his wrists and ankles searing the skin underneath.

Watching them intently I see them open one of the cell doors a couple feet away from me and none too gently throw him in causing me to have to stifle a growl.

They spoke in low whispers and I had to really concentrate on what they were saying to make sure I heard it correctly.

"Here's another filthy mutt! I'm so sick of this. Our world is getting overrun by filthy vermin and it doesn't help that we're partnering up with those evil bloodsuckers just to get rid of them. The world would be so much better without all of them in it."

"Shh. Not so loud, he'll hear you."

"So? What if he does, what is he gonna do? He's weak like the rest of them. A real leader wouldn't stoop so low."

"You know nothing Morris! You're all brawn and no damn brains. We don't have the numbers or strength to wipe out the Weres'. If we wanna win this and be rid of them we have to think logically or we'll all just die uselessly."
