The camera fades in to a quiet, darkened gym. A single overhead light beams down onto a wrestling ring. Inside, KENNY OMEGA is hitting the ropes, sweat dripping, focused. As he drills, a voiceover begins—his own, calm but cold.
Kenny: Nick Gage… The king of the deathmatch. The face of violence. You’ve carved a legacy with glass and blood. And you think that scares me?
The video cuts to a black-and-white montage as clips of Kenny in Japan—Dragon Gate, DDT, early NJPW—crimson masks, table spots, barbed wire matches in Korakuen Hall. He’s been there. He’s bled there.
Kenny: Before I was “The Cleaner.” Before the lights, the theatrics, the titles… I was just a kid fighting for respect in front of 200 people. I’ve been tossed off balconies. I’ve gone through panes of glass. I’ve faced monsters long before you started calling yourself one.
Cut back to Kenny, now wrapping his wrists with black tape. Calm, but intensity burns in his eyes. He glances at a tablet screen showing Nick Gage’s most violent moments—GCW, CZW, the carnage.
Kenny: You call it hardcore mayhem. I call it just another challenge.
He grabs a duffel bag, unzipping it. Inside: a custom steel chair painted with his logo, and an old, scarred kendo stick.
Kenny: At the Thrill Ride, I’m not stepping into your world, Gage…
I’m bringing you into mine.
Precision. Chaos. Anarchy with purpose.
Omega slings the bag over his shoulder and walks out of the shot, the camera lingering on his silhouette as he heads toward the shadows.
Kenny Omega: Let’s see how long the “king” lasts… when the god of pro wrestling comes for his throne.
Fade to black. The Thrill Ride logo appears with gritty distortion.
The show cuts back to the ring which is set for an official contract signing—black carpet, a sleek wooden table, two chairs, and the SCW Thrill Ride contract resting between them. The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship sits on a stand, gleaming under the arena lights. At the head of the table stands SCW’s Chairman UCS overseeing the proceedings. The tension is thick as the arena buzzes in anticipation.
UCS: Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the moment you all been waiting for. In this binder, I have the contract for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at Thrill Ride, between Ethan Bourne and Cody Johnson. So please help in welcoming the challenger. "THE SILENT ARCHER ASSASSIN" MR. ETHAN BOURNE!
Ethan's music hits, and Ethan Bourne walks out, dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, looking serious yet determined. He doesn’t pose, doesn’t bask in the moment—he just marches straight to the ring, his eyes locked on the contract.
UCS: Now please welcome, the champion, along with his "Wise-Shark" Gura Gawr. Please welcome The Undisputed WWE Universal and JWF Carnage Champion, "The All-Star" CODY JOHNSON!
At that moment the mood shifts.
Cody's music blares through the speakers.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Cody Johnson, steps onto the stage, championship over his shoulder, arrogance in his stride. But there’s something… off.
He grins like a man at his peak, but his eyes tell a different story. And right behind him, her expression unreadable, is The Wise-Shark, Gura Gawr. She follows Cody closely, her arms crossed, glancing between him and Ethan as they enter the ring.
UCS: Gentlemen, everything is set, the match will happen at SCW Thrill Ride for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. All you two need to do is sign the dotted line.
Before either of them do. The fan start chanting something at Cody.
The crowd was referencing 24 hours ago when Cody beat Bobby Lesnar to become the JWF Carnage Champion, tho Cody had a different response.
Cody: I don't need support from a place that looks like it was built during a hangover and never sobered up, so shut it!
Ethan, annoyed at Cody says a few words.
Ethan Bourne: "Cody… I know you. I know the man you used to be. I know the man everyone loved, the man who stood for something real. But now? This—this version of you? This isn’t real."
Cody rolls his eyes, adjusting his titles on the table.
Ethan Bourne: "You say you feel great. You say this is the best you’ve felt in a long time. But that’s a lie, isn’t it? Deep down, you know it. You’re forcing this. You’re pushing away everyone who ever gave a damn about you—"
Cody starts laughing and shaking his head.
Cody: And here we go. Ethan, buddy, I don’t need a damn intervention. I don’t need saving. In fact, for the first time in my career, I don’t want to be saved.
Cody leans forward, his voice steady, almost too steady.
Cody Johnson: Because you’re wrong, Ethan. I feel great. No doubts, no hesitation. No looking over my shoulder, no second-guessing. I am exactly who I was meant to be. And at SCW Thrill Ride, I’m going to prove it when I beat you.
Ethan clenches his jaw, trying to keep his frustration in check.
Ethan Bourne: You can keep telling yourself that. You can keep pretending. But I don’t believe this is the real Cody Johnson. And deep down? I don’t think Gura does either.
Gura stiffens slightly, but remains silent. Cody’s smirk falters for just a fraction of a second. But then, with a scoff, he shakes his head and picks up the contract.
Cody Johnson: That’s cute, Ethan. Real cute. But this? This isn’t about you believing in me. It’s about me believing in myself. And I do. More than ever.
Cody signs the contract without hesitation. Then, he shoves it across the table to Ethan.
Cody Johnson: Your turn.
Ethan hesitates for a moment. Then, with a sigh, he grabs the pen and signs his name. The match is official. Undisputed WWE Universal Championship—SCW Thrill Ride.
UCS: And it's official! Cody Johnson vs Ethan Bourne for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Thrill Ride!
Ethan slides the contract back, but as he does, Cody suddenly snatches the microphone, standing up.
Cody Johnson: One last thing, Ethan… I appreciate your little speech. I really do. But let me be crystal clear—
Cody leans down, eyes cold.
Cody Johnson: You keep hoping for that old Cody Johnson? The guy who cared? The guy who second-guessed everything? That guy is dead.
Ethan stands up, getting nose-to-nose with Cody. The crowd is electric, sensing a fight about to break out. Gura steps in, putting a hand on Cody’s chest, but she looks at Ethan. A silent plea? A warning? It’s unclear.
After a tense stare-down, Cody smirks and slowly backs away, lifting his championship into the air. Ethan exhales sharply, shaking his head before rolling out of the ring. No cheap shots. No brawl. Just a dangerous, growing divide between two former allies.
Gura watches Ethan go before turning to Cody… and for the briefest moment, concern flashes in her eyes. Cody doesn’t notice. Or maybe, he refuses to as the show ends.
