4.1- Is it a date?

"Vic, you've got a mouth." Valentina said. "And you can talk."

Vic nodded.

"Then talk, dipshit."

"Shut up, dipshit." Vic told Val. "I'm thinking how to say this."

"You've been thinking for a whole hour," Val said. "Must be a record for you."

"Brat." Vic told her best friend. "But it hasn't been an hour. It's been like, five minutes."

Melody sighed, like she had to deal with this often, which she did. "It's been fifteen minutes."

Thank the gods, things weren't weird between the three of them anymore, after a couple of weeks things were okay, and after Val's birthday things were great again.

Vic smiled at Valentina. "Closer to five minutes than an hour."

"Shut up, dipshit."

"This is stupid." Pollux said. "You two‐" he pointed at his sister and Vic. "-always do this thing."

"What thing?" Vic asked.

"You and Val argue then when Pollux and I try to stop you guys," Cástor answered, "you both team up against us."

"And then I have to stop you guys from strangling each other." Melody said. "It's exhausting."

"It doesn't always happen." Val told her brothers.

"It does actually." The twins said.

"No, it doesn't!"

"They're right, Tina." Melody said.

"Okay." Valentina muttered. "Maybe it does then."

The twins snorted.

"So!" Valentina said, suddently anxious to change the subject. "Why didn't you go to lunch, Vic?"

"Um..." Vic mumbled.

"You're red again." Pollux said.

"But Annabeth's not at camp." Cástor pointed out.

"So this time's concercing." Valentina finished.

Vic leaned her head against her Cabin's wall. "It's, um, hard to explain."

Everyone stared at her for a second.

"Okay," Val spoke up, "Cas, go get Lena."

"What?"

"Go get Silena."

"Oh... alright."

Pollux stood up with Cástor.

"You stay here." Val told Pollux.

"But-"

"Take a seat."

"Bossy." Pollux mumbled, but sat back nonetheless.

Cástor smiled mockingly at him before leaving.

"Why Silena?" Vic asked.

"Because she... knows stuff." Valentina said.

"Okay?" The blue eyed girl nodded like she understood, though she looked more confused.

"What Valen means is that Silena knows how to ask the right questions and understand things even when you understand yourself." Melody explained. "Even if it's love related or not, she's good at understanding."

"That's an actual good explanation, you could teach your girlfriend." Vic told Melody.

"Hey." Pollux warned.
