Lovesong - Beabadoobee

Right after our... reconciliation, Noah tells me softly to go talk to Jackson too.

I'm terrible, because I kind of forgot about him and he was such a good friend to me. So I did. I looked for him around the school and finally seeing him talking to his teammates by the lockers.

I lightly tap him on the shoulder to get his attention and he turns around. Immediately his lips tilt up slightly but not quite reaching his eyes. "Ariella,"

I raise my eyebrows. "What? So no 'Riri' anymore?" I ask teasingly.

That's when he grins, relief flooding through his green eyes, catching on that I forgave him.

I give him a side hug as I pat his back like he's my little brother. "I'm sorry, Riri." He says quietly.

"It's okay," I give him a small smile. "I should've at least listened to you instead of making my own judgement."

He shakes his head. "We were really stupid for that."

"Yeah, but it's okay because you realize your mistake and I did too."

I let out a short laugh, "Since when did we become so mature?"

He laughs too, "I have no idea, dude. I'm a bit scared right now."

His eyes scan the almost empty hallway. "Where's Noah?"

I look up at him in surprise, "Why are you asking?"

"Because you should make things right with him too, Riri. That poor dude's been going through it."

A familiar hand wraps around my waist and my heart stutters. "Damn right, I was." Noah says. "She doesn't need to make things right with me because she did nothing wrong."

Jackson groans, exasperated. "Of course you had to come just when I was being a decent teammate."

The way he says team mate like it's equivalent to something disgusting.

Noah grins, his head briefly resting on the top of my head. "She talked to me first, though."

Jackson rolls his eyes, muttering something like, "and here I was, happy for you two, smug asshole."

I snicker, "Can you two just admit you're friends already?"

"Never." They say at the exact same time and then look at each other like they said something offensive.
