The second half of the game is almost over and so far? it's a tie.

The ball rolls across the grass, and I hate the feeling of pressure on me. Of my teammates and my coach, but that's how I get my adrenaline and determination to win.

My lungs begin to burn but it's the exhilarating kind. I hear the crowd, none of them mattering to me right now. Right now, all I want to do is win.

My cleats bite into the ground as I dodge the defender. The guy lunges- Ian - if I actually gave a fuck, is too slow. I smirk as I slip past him.

The team's working like a machine now, each player playing their roles. Jackson runs down on the other side and Ethan is cutting inside.

The ball shoots forward as I pass it to Hunter, who sends it back to me.
I can feel the defense players trying to block me.

I shoot. The ball flies off my foot and through the air.

The keeper dives, fingertips stretching to save it. Too fucking late.

The crowd explodes, the sound crashing into me.I stand there for a moment, chest heaving and my gaze on the goal.

My teammates swarm around in celebration.

My eyes drift over to the crowd, and that's when I see her- Ella.

And she's wearing her glasses.

Fuck, if that didn't bring a weird urge for me to grin.

She's unmistakable, even in the midst of the crowd, cheering with a bright grin on her face that makes the single dimple on her right cheek pop out.

I notice Ethan next to me, whose chest heaves as his eyes scan the bleachers too and stops when he sees Thea, wearing his team jersey.

He grins and with no hesitation written on his features, he bolts from the field with no care about the team, the cameras or anything for that matter.

Thea is grinning from ear to ear and as she sees him running to the bleachers, she looks surprised. But before she can say anything, he is pulling her into his arms.

You know what this reminds me of? That one Taylor Swift song that Ella sings all the fucking time.

And it's not even like she knows the entire thing it's just that one part that even I know now because of her.

"Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me."

What the hell am I doing knowing the lyrics to Taylor Swift?

The crowd erupts in swoons as they all say "aww."

I roll my eyes, but nonetheless, my lips tilt up. But my focus is on something else right now.
