The new year banquet had come around once again. And this year, Yuki was determined not to skip out and to stop running away. He calmly sat beside Akito, watching over his brother rambling about Hatori, and how all the kids surrounded him to listen. It was loud, and there was yelling, in addition to the little chatter in between. He couldn't help but let out a soft smile, finding their presence rather comforting. Perhaps, this wasn't so bad.
"Didn't run this time, huh?" Akito said, with a smile, as he turned to Yuki. Yuki turned his attention away from the others as he looked at Akito. "I'm so happy that you came back to me." Akito continued, chuckling to himself. Yuki calmly listened to what Akito had to say. "So i'll be kind enough to forgive you, Yuki. Come visit me more often from now on." Yuki glanced away, thinking to himself, before he said, "I forgive you too, Akito."
"No, it's not a matter of forgiving you or not." Yuki said, unaware of Akito's twisting expression. "I'm sick of blaming others. I have to become aware of the many faults and areas I can improve on." Yuki continued, looking back at the younglings, looking at his brother. "I'm forever the idiot. If I always blame someone or something, i'll never change."
Yuki looked down, with some sort of determination in his eyes. He wanted to become a better person, someone who wouldn't run away, someone who wouldn't blame, someone who wasn't afraid, and someone who could protect you. "What?" Akito mumbled, catching Yuki's attention as he looked back at him "What's that in your eyes?" Akito asked, staring at Yuki in surprise, or maybe it was some sort of shock?
Akito got up, grabbing a glass vase. "Akito? Is something wr—" Before Yuki could finish the sentance, Akito smashed the vase against Yuki's forehead, the glass shattering on impact as blood dripped to the ground. The room grew silent. "Apologize. Apologize! I said Apologize!" Akito yelled over and over again as Kureno came to hold Akito back from hurting Yuki anymore. "Sorry." Yuki quietly said, holding his wound in his hand.
"This is all her fault, isn't it?" Akito asked, as Yuki finally looked up at Akito. "Just you wait, I'll make her pay for this." Akito said, smiling as he walked away. Yuki watched him go, taking in a deep breath as he attempted to calm himself down. Akito left the room, having enough of this. "Yuki?! How could this happen?! You're bleeding!" Ayame yelled, as ran up to Yuki, crouching by him. Haru followed suit, an expression of worry on his face. "It's fine. It's just a small cut."
"I see, it must hurt! But fear not! I have the strength of a thousand men!" Ayame said, attempting to comfort Yuki, who let out a sigh. "That's enough. Just bring him here." Hatori said, beginning to leave the room as he headed down to his clinic. "Rights away, Tori-san! Don't die on me, Yuki!" Ayame yelled, lifting Yuki into his arms, bridal style.
"Together at death! The promise that was made as we watched the sunset by the banks of the Seine shines brightly within my heart!" Ayame added, yelling dramatically, as Yuki groaned to himself. "We made no promise and watched no sunset!" Yuki yelled back, as Ayame continued the yell as he followed after Hatori with Yuki.

"Goodness. The outrageous fuss your brother makes." Hatori said, with a sigh, as he dabbed Alcohol over the wound slowly. The door to the clinic suddenly slammed open as you entered the room, glancing down at Yuki with worry. "Oh my god! So it's true!" You yell, peeking over Hatori's shoulders as you got a good look at the wound. "Are you okay, Yuki?! What happened?! Does it hurt?!" You bombard him with questions, as Yuki let out a small chuckle.
"And there's another one just as bad your brother." Hatori added, struggling to focus with all your yelling. "Sorry, Tori-chan!" You say, stepping back as you let Hatori do his thing. "What did you even say to Akito to get him to be so mad?" You ask, as Yuki shrugged slightly. "I just said I don't want to blame others." Yuki said, as you turned to him. "And he got mad at that?!"
Hatori let out a sigh, taking his glasses off. "It's not a deep cut, but get it checked out at a hospital just in case." He advised, as Yuki, hummed, thanking Hatori. Hatori turned to you, with a rather serious expression. "Be careful. And don't go causing trouble. Akito mentioned something about you so be really careful, okay?" He asked, as you straightened up, giving Hatori a mock salute. "Aye, Aye, Sir."
"What am I gonna do with you." Hatori said, as let out a sigh, before leaving the room. Yuki glanced at you, as you took a seat across from him, where Hatori was originally sitting. You held his face between both your hands, observing the now placed bandaid. "It's really okay. You don't have to worry." Yuki said, placing a hand over your own. You let out a hum, as you reached over, planting a small kiss over his bandaid.
"Be more careful, Ki-chan. I was really worried." You say, as Yuki diligently nodded. "Did you run all the way here in the cold?" Yuki asked, as you laughed, half nodding your head. "Anyway." You looked back at Yuki, a smile on your face. "I'm proud of you for standing up to Akito. You did well, Yuki." You say, as Yuki bought your hand to his lips, kissing your palm. You laugh at the touch, feeling tickling. "Thanks, (Name)."
