---

The evening sun barely filtered through the clouds as Siddharth’s restless footsteps echoed on the narrow lane leading to Kriti’s house. His heart was pounding — raw, urgent, desperate. He didn’t care about anything, the judgmental stares of neighbors, or the heavy knot in his throat.

He reached the familiar doorstep — the house where he and shivika once came to leave kriti  today, it was dead silent.

A large iron lock gleamed coldly on the gate.

“No one’s home,” he muttered, pounding his fist against the heavy wood. The faint sound of distant chatter floated from neighboring homes — life going on, while he felt trapped in a nightmare.

Frustration overwhelmed him.

Where was she? Why was she hiding? Why didn’t anyone answer?

He kicked the gate in anger. The sound echoed down the lane.

---

For hours, Siddharth searched around the neighborhood, ehich definitely of no need as he knows by that time kriti might be married to someone else but a hope , a hope where he thought he can get kriti back

At last, exhausted and defeated, he pulled out his phone.

Only one option remained.

Shivika.

If anyone knew where Kriti was, it was Shivika.

He dialed her number, his fingers trembling.

The call rang and rang… but no answer.

He tried again.

No response.

His chest tightened.

For six days, Kriti had vanished, and after what he did today  Shivika had shut him out completely.

---

Siddharth’s desperation turned into frustration.

“I can’t lose her,” he whispered to himself.

Another call.

This time, after a long ring, Shivika picked up.

She didn't call spoke so he broked the silence , he already hurted shivika so much and now asking about kriti again to her he doesn't want to hurt her again but he had no choice

He tried to keep his voice steady “Where is Kriti?”

She stayed silent.

He pushed harder, voice breaking. “Please, Shivika. I can’t lose her. Tell me where she is.”

without saying anything she cut the call he can hear heavy breathing which might be from the crying as she always cries like that

---

Siddharth’s heart shattered.

But he didn’t give up.

He hurried towards his her house, hoping for answers.

When he arrived, he saw her  mother was waiting at the door.

“Shivika’s here,” she said softly.
