Hi this is chapter 20 do like and comment

The world moved on.

People got up, made breakfast, walked to work, checked the news, scrolled through memes.

But Siddharth hadn’t moved at all.

He still sat by the window of his room, head resting against the cold glass, eyes swollen and blank.

Shivika had left.

He couldn’t stop replaying the last time he saw her.

That day in the corridor.

The fake smile.

The way she limped and still smiled.

The way she looked at him and said nothing.

Nothing — that said everything.

---

Around noon, he got up for water, not because he was thirsty — just to feel something.

He opened his cupboard, searching for a shirt.

A small wooden box fell from the top shelf, landing at his feet with a soft thud.

He stared at it.

It was old. Covered in stickers — some peeling, some still shining.

"Sid + Shivi = Top Rankers"
"Bestfriends Forever. Like Seriously."
"Property of Shivi Only 😤"

He had forgotten this even existed.

His fingers trembled as he opened the box.

Inside were things he hadn’t seen in years.

---

A folded friendship band with "Tum bina main adhura hoon" scribbled in tiny letters

An old movie ticket from their first bunked lecture

A chocolate wrapper from her birthday — “Best Dairy Milk from the best girl”

And finally… a thin silver chain with a ring on it

His throat tightened.

He had worn it for years — till he outgrew the chain and tucked it in this box.

He had called it a pendant.

She had called it proof.

---

He held the ring up to the light.

It was scratched, old, slightly bent.

But inside, engraved in tiny handwriting:
"Shivika - Sid’s idiot"

He laughed.
Choked.
Then cried.

---

They were six.

He was the quiet boy with messy hair. She was the loud girl who always had bruised knees.

They first fought over a swing.

She pushed him.

He called her a lizard.

She cried.

He brought her his last mango bite.

They never stopped talking after that.

She once tied her shoelaces to his so they wouldn’t get separated in a crowd.
