Hey everyone show some love

____

Siddharth stood outside the venue, heart racing, arms filled with a very drunk Shivika, who was still mumbling about how everyone was a “traitor” for letting him take her away.

He opened the passenger door of his car with one hand while adjusting her weight in his arms with the other — no easy task, considering she had gone completely noodle-limbed by now.

“Okay, ma’am,” he whispered as he gently leaned her forward, “we’re going to sit now.”

“Wanna sit on your lap.”

“You’re going to sit on the seat—like a human.”

She frowned. “That sounds boring.”

He helped her settle into the seat, clicking the seatbelt into place.

Then — just as he rounded the car to get to the driver’s side — she unbuckled it.

The moment he opened the door and sat down, Shivika climbed straight across the console and plopped into his lap.

“What the—Shivika!”

“Hi,” she giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. “This feels better.”

Siddharth's entire body stiffened.

She was in a black mini dress, legs curled up on his thighs, her cheek resting just under his jawline. Her perfume — sandalwood and vanilla — completely swallowed him.

“This is… not safe,” he managed to mutter.

“It’s safe,” she whispered, voice airy. “You’re here.”

He exhaled — long, tight, helpless.

“You’re going to be the death of me.”

“I’ll be cute though,” she grinned.

And before he could say anything, her lips brushed his collarbone.

Not a kiss. Just… a sleepy lean. A pause that held more weight than intention.

His arms hovered awkwardly — unsure whether to hold her or push her away.

He settled for keeping her steady with one hand at her back, the other on the steering wheel.

“Alright,” he muttered. “Let’s just get you home.”

---

The car hummed down the road, headlights slicing through the darkness.

Inside?

Stillness.

Except for the storm in Siddharth’s chest.

Shivika had quieted down, resting her head on his shoulder. Her fingers — small and warm — clutched the fabric of his shirt like a child afraid of losing something.

Every time the car hit a speed breaker, she curled in deeper.

Every time her breath brushed his collarbone, he almost forgot to breathe.

“Focus,” he whispered to himself. “Just reach home. No crashing. No kissing back. No dying of feelings.”

He kept one hand gently cupped around her back, steadying her with just enough pressure that she wouldn’t slip, wouldn’t stir, wouldn’t… break him entirely.
