Show some love

___

The wedding glow had turned softer — now drenched in farewell tears and marigold petals. The time for bidaai had finally come.

Karan stood by the car, wiping Kritika’s tears with his handkerchief. His own eyes shimmered, but he wore his signature smirk to keep her from crying more.

Kritika turned to her family — hugging each one gently.

Then, her arms reached for Shivika.

And that’s when the real storm hit.

Shivika hugged her tightly, her eyes shut, trying not to sob. “Tu jaa rahi hai... Diii"

Kritika sniffled, then grinned mid-cry. “Aur tu rahegi yahan... secretly dating my brother-in-law?”

Shivika gasped. “Dii!”

Kritika giggled against her shoulder. “Don’t 'Dii’ me now. Tera toh confession bhi ho gaya..."

Shivika pulled back, wide-eyed. “Tu chilla mat. Bhua sun legi!”

Kritika just smirked, whispering, “Par Bhua ke samne toh sirf Siddharth ki shirt pehenti hai meri sherni.”

Shivika almost choked on her own breath. “Diiiiii!”

Karan called from the car

She winked at Shivika, kissed her cheek and whispered, “Pagphera mein na... full gossip chahiye.”

Shivika nodded, wiping a tear — part emotional, part from being roasted.

The room was dim, bathed in the soft golden glow of fairy lights tangled above the mirror. Shivika lay sprawled on her bed, dressed in her oversized cotton tee and fuzzy socks, hugging her phone like it was her lifeline.

Her thumb hovered over Siddharth’s name for a full minute.

Then—she hit dial.

📞 Call Connected: Siddharth

Siddharth (half-asleep): “Hmm?”

Shivika: “Suno?”

Siddharth: " ab to saari zindagi aese hi meri neend kharaab hogi "

Shivika (snorting): “Shut up. I miss Kritika.”

Siddharth: “Great. Honored to be second on your ‘miss you’ list.”

Shivika: “Tum toh list pe ho hi nahi.”

Siddharth (dryly): “Wow. Aur call bhi galti se lag gayi hogi?”

Shivika (grinning): “Exactly. Phone gir gaya. Siri ne galti se dial kar diya.”

Siddharth (mock offended): “Siri deserves an award. Main toh bas backdrop hoon.”

Shivika giggled, hugging her pillow tighter. Then, dramatically rolled onto her side—but misjudged the edge of the bed.

THUMP!

Shivika: “AAAHHH!”

Siddharth (alarmed): “SHIVIKA?! WHAT HAPPENED?!”

Shivika (muffled): “I fell.”

Siddharth: “Fell? As in... emotionally again? Or—”

Shivika (groaning): “Physically, you idiot! Bed se gir gayi!”
